To me it me it means that unless you've had several standout performances this season, you probably should be subject to some rotation.

Look at the rest of the backline - this year alone we've had multiple 13s, multiple 11s, multiple 14s, multiple 10s, and multiple 9s. Which is about right for a team that's really quite shit. It's understandable that Folau is above rotation but To'omua? Not really, no.

It's the same kind of attitude thAt had people bolting on AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13. There was significant resistance here to the prospect that TK could make that position his own - he's been best on ground every test since, pretty much.

Who are you picking Godwin? His played hardly any footy and not been in Camp. Beale's banned Lilo will get his shot this weekend. We may see him tear it up this weekend.

There's the rotation.

sorry for the delay in providing the final answers. The Top 7 are:

1 Giteau/Mortlock - 15
2 Barnes/Mortlock & To'omua/Kuridrani - 11
4 Lealiffano/Ashley-Cooper - 8
5 Giteau/Ashley-Cooper; Barnes/Ashley-Cooper & McCabe/Ashley-Cooper - 7

The one test wonders are:

Turinui/Rathbone
Larkham/Tuqiri
Larkham/Mortlock

Staniforth/Mortlock
Staniforth/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)/Tuqiri
Barnes/Cross
Mortlock/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
Fainga'a/AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
Horne/Fainga'a
Barnes/Fainga'a
Harris/Fainga'a
Fainga'a/Horne
Harris/Lealiifano

15 Latham

God I would have loved to see this forum when the Gits experiment at 9 happened. It would have been Beale at 10, or JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 x 100.

Wasn't Gits a 9 before he came into the Wallabies?

That backline was a bunch of decisions that individually all made sense but looking back as a whole seems ludicrous.

Wanted depth at 10, Rogers wanted to play 10, Connolly didn't want to drop Larkham to do that, Knuckles wanted Gits at 9 for versatility (I think he remained the first choice 12 despite that - was Staniforth used as his replacement?), I think Morty was injured again and Tuqiri was discussed as a potential 13 option. That's what we ended up with.

He was playing 9 in club rugby in Canberra when first picked for the Wallaby tour (in 2002?). The Brumbies had a fairly decent half back at the time though, so had to find other spots in the pros

He was the real "knuckles", wasn't he? Same shit hair cuts as Giteau too if I recall correctly.
