I'd be very surprised if Taf plays for the Wallabies again.

You have Moore hovering and a few good prospects including Latu, Hansen, Mafi, Ready and probably some others in the wings.

Time to look ahead methinks

TPN is 2 and a half years younger than Moore and certainly in better form.

If he is fit when the test squad is picked he'll be in the squad.

I don't think Hanson or Ready have the form to push him out of the squad an Mafi has played what, two Super Rugby games?

I reckon the 3 hookers in the squad in June will be Moore, TPN and Latu.

I kinda get the calls to shunt Folau to wing. At the same time, am i the only one that thinks a winger needs a kicking game as well? We could probably carry one strike runner, preferably Naivalu, but the other winger needs to bring something more to the table.

Actually kind of agree with 11. DHP 14. Naivalu 15. Hunt

Cheika is unpredictable except with a few favourites.

He has chosen blokes out of form who don't deserve to be there. He has chosen blokes out of position time and time again. Cheika is his own man and nothing he does would really surprise me.

His win/loss ration should improve after the mid year tests but will probably regress after the RC. He is not the saviour of Australian rugby (yet)

I would have thought TPN was one of Cheika's favourites who he has shown he is keen to select whenever possible.

Hanson has only ever been selected when others have been unavailable due to injury. As a 28 year old who has never set the world on fire he would seem like a surprising guy for Cheika to suddenly decide to hitch his wagon to. He wasn't invited to the recent meetup in Canberra. TPN was.

Anyway, you're free to think what you like.

I've always been of the opinion that 2 of your back 3 need to be kickers. But that's usually with a direct 12. Additionally, Cheika moves each player around so much that players so rarely actually stand in their positions based on their number.

I think with a few more traditional options this season we will see more stability in this regard. Meakes and Hodge are genuine 12 options, Kerevi and TK are proper 13 options. We have at least two genuine Fullbacks and a variety of wingers sticking their hand up (Naivalu, Speight, Koro, Peni).

We've got quite a lot of depth in the back three, which is nice.

Just pick any combo of Folau, DHP, Hunt, Nabuli, Naivalu, Speight, Naiyarovoro, Peni, Korebeite, Horne and dare I say Robinson and you'd do alright.

I think Beale will either start at 12 or 15. I'd pick him at 15 as I think it's his best position.

Really hard to put Folau in the starting XV currently. If he is, it should be on the wing.

Naiyarovoro is a bit of a stretch

Will Beale be eligible then?

Yeah, but I reckon he will be seen at some point. I see all of his flaws, and yet there is something irresistible about bringing him off the bench with 10 minutes to go, and getting the ball in his hands as many times as possible.

Missing the next four games is surely going to make it harder for Timani to get selected in the first test. Playing so few games this season he hasn't really had a chance to exhibit any form.

Clearly he is the incumbent though.
