Perhaps, but considering the talent at their disposal, with 20 players or more who have represented at NSW Schools or higher, the Rats with only 2,performed creditibly to hold the lead for so long. With their enormous advantages of talent, resources, coaching & $$, their results are hardly deserving of credit.Another strong performance from Syd Uni 1st to take out the Rats. Though the Rats had them on the back foot until midway 2nd half. Syd Uni Full back was quite impressive in attack as well as there hooker. Hooker made a few strong runs, possibly a try as well. Anyone know any details on the hooker, reminds me of a polota nau type of player.

20, really?
Who cares whether they do? From what ive seen those 20 selections don't equate to better footballers at Colts.

Those rugby tragics looking for something to do today, get down to Chatswood Oval: Gordon Colts host West Harbour in a catch-up round for all three teams. The Pirates head the Gay Gordons on each table, can the Highlanders cause any upsets?
That ones score is surprising. I thought the Gordon backs were excellent although the forwards were lacking a bit but even so I thought it would be closer.
Wasn't at either game but have heard from Manly people that Gordon were definatley the equal of Manly and that Manly would have been happy to get away with a 24 all draw let alone the win under the unusual circumstances. Apparently the Gordon centres Carmichael and Simkin caused a lot of trouble. The Wests game I understand Gordon led early as their backs ran in two smart tries and that it was 17- 12 deep into the second half before the injuries (both Gordon props out injured from Saturday) weight of possession (Wests had a very big pack when I saw them play Manly) and fatigue took its toll with Wests getting two late tries. From what I hear Gordon played well against Manly on Saturday and were locked 24 all at the bell when Manly missed a kick a goal. Gordon failed to ground the ball and Manly scored after the bell. Tough way to loose a game and hard to back up the next day for another tough one. I understand they have lost a number of games by 7 points or less.
