I've decided to only pick Australia qualified players, which makes the selections look a bit harsh on the Force. Otherwise I would probably have included Olowofela, Thrush and maybe Cubelli.

I also moved Wilson to 6 as none of the contenders really impressed me there this week and I couldn't split him and Harris for the 8 spot.

I understand if people don’t feel the need to justify their selections but I am intrigued by the number of selections of Paisami at 12 for the side given
1. He played 13
2. He was taken off injured (in the first half as far as I recall)
3. He did do a number of good plays but, as far as I can remember, his most memorable contribution to the game was getting cut in half by Kuridrani

I’d be interested in some insight - in his time on the field was he a lot better than I recall or was it just that no one rated the efforts of the other candidates

Having said all that, I hope he’s okay. It looked ominous and he’s been very good for the Reds.

TSR, 12, 6, 8 and 14 were the most difficult spots to decide.

I didn't consider Paisami for the 12 spot for the very reasons you've outlined above.

Wells played exceptionally good (well?) but I think spent most of the game at 8 after Naisarani was sent off. I put him in at 8 in preference to 6 where I was more than happy again with Anstee's involvements.

Very few wingers, other than the import who I don't want to put in the TOTW, put their hands up with eye catching performances. Daugunu a clear standout, others were a bit meh, including Marika who I think is being found out by opposing defences. I did consider selecting Kahui because he pulled off a couple of very important big plays in both attack and defence to ensure the Force win, but again he is an import along with Cubelli etc, and I try to avoid selecting them in my side.

I again went for the outstanding scrum performer at LHP, and that was Tom Robertson by a country mile. Held his own against the abattoir, while the popular pick, Bell, was under real pressure from Eloff. Had TT not been in the picture I reckon Eloff would have taken the THP spot.

BR, while Elof did put pressure on Bell, Bell handled that pressure (the weakness in the Tahs side was all coming from TH, where HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) was struggling) and Bell was outstanding around the paddock.

Personally, I had forgotten that he actually played 13 so have changed my team........ it wasn't really a week for standout 12's, but every team's 13 had good games.

I thought he was on fire until being smashed by Kuridrani though.
