Bulls looked pretty good actually, at least they had a go at running rugby and pulled it off.

Perenara with probably the worst display of “captainship” I’ve ever seen. Sneeringly dressing down the newbie ref (who I thought went ok, at least he wasnt on the Bulls payroll AKA Von Heerhometownden) for the entire game. Nigel Owens would’ve had him in tears and doing burpees under the posts until it got dark.

Perenara has been overstepping the mark with the refs all season and has been reprimanded a good few times.

The Bulls with a proper coach will be an altogether different proposition. The players clearly gave up on the coach 3 rounds in. Mitchell is the right man for the job. Afrikaners respond well to his type of authoritarianism. The Lions boys did.

Lions v Kings:

Lions hooker got sent off for kneeing a guy in the head but didn't matter. Lions now three behind CruSadists with Sunwolves & Sharks c.f. Clan & 'canes to play, I know who I'd rather be right now.........

Crusader have dealt with the other Kiwi teams just fine

Sharks will be tough for Lions and could prove their undoing.

Unless The Crusaders bear both those, which I expect they will.

You should get out more.

Do you know what you sound like to us?

Only the English are allowed to make fun of Saffa, Kiwi and Aussie accents. We all sound like shit. Just in a different way.

Is that the Cockneys, the Yorkies or those from down Lands End way?

^^^^^^^^ I think it's a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", Banks having been in such great form during Sopoaga's injury break & Brown being very loyal to the players who perform for him.

EDIT: now there's a report that Sopoaga sat out training on Tuesday & is bracketed with Fletcher Smith due to a calf injury he picked up last week:

Crusaders (15-1): David Havili, Seta Tamanivalu, Jack Goodhue, Ryan Crotty, George Bridge, Richie Mo'unga, Mitchell Drummond, Jordan Taufua, Matt Todd, Heiden Bedwell-Curtis, Sam Whitelock (captain), Luke Romano, Owen Franks, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody. Reserves (16-23): Ben Funnell, Wyatt Crockett, Mike Ala'alatoa, Quinten Strange, Jed Brown, Mitchell Hunt, Israel Dagg.

Crotty & Todd back, Havili rewarded for his recent good form with another start.

Crotty ran two epic lines off set play.

Crusaders back line are almost level with the lineout before it's out of the lineout, for their own lineouts but also on defence. Kind of helps.

I've never been too sure Ben Smith is the smartest cookie. We kick for touch 15v15 but go for 3 15v14..

At least he kicked it.

(maybe they would have let the yellow back on after lineout)

FFS. Aaron Smith, STOP BITCHING OUT ON LOOSE BALL!!!

(Taufua holding on to that gaps defender at the ruck)
