It all makes sense now.

I have the same feeling towards tuggers. I still hold a grudge to them knocking us out of the semis in under 16s in 1997.

In what sense 'better' Slim?

St Edmunds was a flawed school academically (when I was there) - but Rugby coaching, skills and attitude were great.

I won't deny missing it when I went to Narrabundah College to do the IB, academically ridiculous, but no sport, period.

Academically... socially... better...

St Edmunds is not a very nice place if you don't play rugby... or represent the school in some other sport...

Interesting. I went to Eddies and graduated with a great score (Very Early 90s). The place was quite diverse back then. Very little to no bullying either. We had some super talented musos, lawyers and doctors graduate from my year. I understand that it changed quite a bit in the late 90s and all the older good teachers were cleaned out.

PS: From memory, you had to play some sort of team sport in my day. I really enjoyed my time there.

Bernie would be a huge PR boost for a Brumbies franchise on the up. I think he could handle it. Spent most of his career broken don't forget. Zac Holmes started in the Darwin Trial and looked very good. I am sure the lad could handle it.

I"m hoping they give Holmes a run. He's a great goalkicker, and from what I know about him, he loves pressure situations. He's the kind of guy who IMO would absolutely seize the day and have one hell of a crack at it. All he'd need to do is make his tackles, and get the ball out to the players who've been making the breaks all season.

That said....Bernie coming on in the 2nd half, throwing a huuuge cutout ball to Tomane on the acute angle, to burst through for a try.....i'd need a change of underwear..
