I would love to see Bernie play again but would hate to see him embarrassed or worse injured because of it.

Having said that if he sat on the bench for one game, got on late in the match and threw just one perfect spiral pass to put an outside back into space my year would be complete.

If he's got an Australian passport and hasn't played for Japan at International level then he wouldn't occupy a marquee position.
That's true but it will have an impact on his contract in Japan

Wing, who has a Filipino mother, plays in Japan on an Asian passport, which means he is not subject to the restrictions placed on foreign players.
Wing would have to relinquish this status to play in Australia as a local, which is something he would be loath to do.
So while Wing was born in Sydney and represented New South Wales and Australia in rugby league, he would be ineligible to play for the Force as an Australian.
The Force would have to recruit Wing as a foreigner, but he does not fulfill the requirements of the ARU's import policy.

Great story... He is fit, rested body wise and only stopped playing in 2010 in France... Knows all the players abilities and team plays, he'd just need to play for a few weeks while the other guys get it together, jeezz it could happen… But I wouldn’t like to see him do a serious injury… However I would buy a ticket to the match…

Either way the best media story of the year for the Brumbies and in a bye week, Jake Whites a sheer media genius...

I do know that Bernie and Greg Somerville are going to the World Vintage Rugby carnival in Honolulu at the end of September. We're sending a team and are hopeful that Bernie will have a run with us.

Seems to be some crazy quirk of the Japanese system - he's played in Australia before so playing in Australia again is not going to make him any less Asian. Oh well, if he's ineligible it is what it is.

Brumbies dont need Craig Wing he can go to the Force... better with Bernie training Coleman and Holmes, or put McCabe in at Flyhalf... and Coleman in at 12... for some of each match... then rotate them... with different plays... It doesnt take much to confuse a Hurricane back...

Yeah... Beauden Barrett, Conrad Smith, Corey Jane and Andre Taylor have been just awful this season. Barely scored a try.

Oh now come on, we all know that Conrad Smith wouldn't be able to make a defensive read if his life depended on it! His positional play is so poor, I don't know why Hammett made him the captain. How he still keeps his place in the Hurricanes squad is beyond me........

And I am sure that Andre Taylor is about as quick as David Harvey.....

arrrr... Conrad Smith is lost without Nonu, Jane keeps running out over the sideline... the other Dudes aren't enough as the Hurricanes have let in more points than points scored with a PFA at -1... that pretty well says it all...

Brumbies PFA is currently +53.... only Australian team in the black...

I thought you were being serious for a second and then I realised that it wasn't Mudskipper replying to my post.

Are you sure you aren't confusing the Hurricanes with another team? The Hurricanes wear yellow, and occasionally grey. Just so you know.

Is this a mad attempt by Jake to fire up his young fly halves in waiting?
