SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

One standout has to be Carter Gordon top 3 in workrate leader and 2nd in attacking influence (note he’s the only flyhalf, the rest are outside backs). Then to show he’s not just a weapon in attack he’s top 3 for defensive kings too.
Yeah dude was best on park last weekend. Absolutely killing it.

He might have left his Wallaby run for the RWC late but we will definitely be seeing him shortly after.

I don’t know about him being too late. Let’s say QC (Quade Cooper) is first choice. If you’re EJ (Eddie Jones) you want the best player in the country at least at 2nd choice. Maybe the lack of test experience would push him to third choice. The question is EJ (Eddie Jones) going to go with Noah or Ben because they are in the program or go with JOC (James O'Connor) who would be a further injury risk to QC (Quade Cooper). If Carter keeps hitting these strides he must be in the 3.

Were the Wallabies resting protocols ever confirmed? Is it a flat 3 games across the season?

The Kiwis have started theirs but yet to see it seriously over here... not sure what this means for the end of the season? Could be some grim results if not staggered properly.

NZ's policy is players can't play more than 5 weeks in a row, I think it includes training. And if you out for any reason that rightly counts as rest.

I mean they are undefeated but sure, little chance to win I guess
You are kidding, the Crusaders are decimated with injuries, and here is a chance to make it hard for them to get home semis etc. Thay could of rested players against MP (Moana Pasifika) last week surely.

Where you have to rest players by agreement, logic suggests that you rest your players for an away game involving a chunk of travel and play them in the home game in front of your fans who want to see all the best players.

Sure you could opt for the reverse but you risk losing the game against the weaker opposition and you annoy your fans who don't get to see the test stars play.
