JOC (James O'Connor) is certainly an option but Hunt seems best suited for Fullback. I never saw much of Hunt during his Biarritz run but I was a big fan of him in league. The reason he always stood out for me was his perchance for catching the kick and running it back into contact at a million miles an hour. non of this running sideways bullshit. He was also solid under the high ball which could only have improved during his time at AFL. I think what is best for the Reds is probably what is best for the Wallabies -JOC (James O'Connor) on the wing, Hunt at 15.

btw I've been watching some of the Toulon games and JOC (James O'Connor) is looking quality on the wing. He appears to have beefed up a bit. He occasionally roams off his wing and slots in to a distributers roll. He's being used how he should be used. As much as I hate the tool, he is going to be a great addition to our RWC squad.

you should have. those who saw a lot of his French foray don't want him at fullback; we want him up there in and on the edge of traffic, creating things.[/quote]

i don't mind that at all for the Wallabies. who would be the other wing? Speight? Folau?

KHunt, The Brand and Speight/Folau could run - and kick - a bit.

didn't you see him play many games on the wing for the Wallabies? in 2010-11 he was one of the very top 2-3 wingers in the world. he was coached to come off his wing and pop up to create and to create havoc.

yes, he seems to have beefed up a lot, very quickly. so much so that i am suspicious.

If they're not playing for either the Wallabies or Springboks this Saturday, it's probably irrelevent to this thread:)
It was built off of a discussion of who would play on the wing for the wallabies on and how world cup preparation might impact the choice, do there was some basis for it.

no idea but it has to do with Joe Blow's question above..just a hunch, may not be anything in it..

Saia is well flagged, maybe one in the backs too..

Saia definitely and I reckon Joe Tomane on the wing - cannot see any others on the horizon.

Yeh I agree a bunch of those guys maybe wont make the squad, which makes me wonder why Meyer is currently selecting guys like Botha and Burger. Does he plan on selecting those guys in his squad next year?

Fourie I agree seems to be out of the picture atm.
Fourie picked up a long-term injury a while ago.
