Hodge I see as a bit of a challenge as well, step up and you'll firm for the 23 jersey. Wouldn't be my pick in a 23 but I can see the utility factor for a WC.

Hodge is a solid, really reliable unit who can truck it up, kick the shit out of it and make his tackles.

Thought Eddie’s comments to the SMH were interesting about playing one of Vunivalu and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) (likely Suli) and due to the turn around other likely to get a shot next week against Argentina. Will be interesting to see how Kellaway comes into the mix next week and if he gets the nod at 15 before we put our best possible team (injuries permitting) on the field for the All Blacks

To be fair, Eddie took six props with him which is the most you would expect...

The risk was taking two props who they were hoping to be fit in time for the match.

Slim, in what world really is it fair to take injured players and have to rely on them gaining sufficient fitness to play if circumstances require. Might get away with it with a couple of wingers, though even that would be less than satisfactory, but insane to think you'd get away with it with rugby props.
