I would put Hunt into the 12 jersey, Beale can go to the finishers.
They are pretty different balls, that is the only reason I can think of that our players mostly cannot kick the bloody thing, whereas AFL players can kick theirs a mile, and straight as a die.
Plus, of course, their kids start kicking as soon as they can crawl.
But surely, surely, our best backs can learn to kick. Surely?
The only rational explanation is the Chubby is a Randwick boy, through and through, and Randwick boys do not kick, and do not believe in kicking.
Let's change the subject.
Thoughts on Dempsey? He didn't really stand out to me, but he didn't do a lot wrong either. Has a bit more physical presence about him, and gets over the ball more than Hanigan did.
I'll reserve judgement until we see him again. But he showed enough in his first start to earn another crack.

I just watched the game again, and my main takeaway was how good our defence was.
I have no idea how we held them out in the last 15 minutes, we just kept making hit after hit. Kuridrani made a huge hit which arguably saved a try, and Korobeite was flying around like a madman. The forwards all did their part as well.
I just wonder how differently our season would be viewed if it wasn't for 60 minutes of madness in Sydney...
Koroibete was really exceptional in my opinion.
Dempsey didn't let us down in a good team showing. I'd say that justifies another go in Argentina.
Same for Rodda. I wasn't a fan of picking him ahead of Arnold, but he played well and I'd like some consistency in lock selection.
Agreed, which then takes him out of the equation for an offload. He's too green atm....he needs to be at the level where his descisions are instinctive, if the ball carrier is running into 2 good defenders...push in close, if they're a skilled back with potential space....ready for an offload, and if it's your general situation he needs to be 1 step more patient so his clean out can be timed better. Enthusiasm and aggression still needs timing and he needs this coached into him to finish of his game skills!Hangian keeps getting too close to the ball carrier which means he is too close to get an effective hit and clean out on the defender.
It's the sort of positioning that can work if the ball carrier is trying to stay on their feet and drive forward but that isn't what we're doing and it is causing him to put in an ineffective clean out which both doesn't remove the defender and gets in the way of anyone else arriving making the clean out.

I know right.....that one failed reaction deffinately is a fair assessment on his game. :0.they send Arnold home? If anything sums up Simmons' role it was that kick off he couldn't be stuffed trying to take.
Hanigan was so terrible that Dempsey should start by default. I'm pretty sure i saw Hanigan attempt to make a tackle and actually do a better job dislodging a fellow defender. He was decent in the first few games but he's regressing now.
None of the forwards were terrible.

I was/am extremely unhappy about Beale being included in the team (not because of his playing abilities). But purely looking at his form, benching him right now would be ludicrous. I think Hunt has a lot to offer but he can make his case from the bench.
That is of course unless Cheika wants to be bit experimental and put Folau on the wing and Hunt can go 15.
A backline of 9. Genia 10. Foley 11. Folau 12. Beale 13. TK 14. Koroibete 15. Hunt is pretty attractive right now.
