Good question. I get a replay of Eastwood games because I am a member.

The Saturday game is replayed at 0330 Wednesday morning, if that helps!

One round to go but the top 6 is fairly clear.

Manly
Eastwood
Uni
Warringah
Souths
Randwick

2014 FINALS SERIES VENUES
Match A – Saturday 2nd August – Manly Oval – 1 v 6
Match B – Saturday 2nd August – Pittwater Rugby Park – 3 v 4
Match C – Sunday 3rd August – TG Millner Field – 2 v 5
Match D – Saturday 9th August – Home venue of top qualifier – Q1 v Q4
Match E – Sunday 10th August – Home venue of top qualifier – Q2 v Q3

Quite unbelievably this means

Manly vs Randwick at Manly Oval
Uni vs Warringah at Pittwater
Eastwood vs Souths at TG Milner

Bad luck Uni but no sympathy here!

Following week could see Manly vs Uni and then Eastwood vs Warringah

Yep hard to disagree but given he always gets one wrong it will be Woods or Rats who ruin the perfect tipping round - the latter not backing up from heroics of last week .

"Always gets one wrong".... That's far too charitable. :)

My batting average is much worse than that. This week = only 2/6 and they were the easy ones (The Corporation and Marlins).

Club Championship Watch

Loosing performances in Colts cost Woodies and Marlins.
Uni sneak into first place by a male Bees appendage.

After Round 17
Sydney University - 2927 (13 point lead)
Manly - 2914 (60 point lead)
Eastwood - 2854 (lead by daylight)

Next Week - Round 18 26/07/14
Eastern Suburbs v Southern Districts
Parramatta v Penrith
Manly v West Harbour
Sydney University v Eastern Suburbs
Northern Suburbs v Randwick
Gordon v Southern Districts
Warringah v Eastwood

Prediction:
University will get full points in all grades and colts in Round 18.
Manly could get full points in most grades and colts in Round 18.

Interesting tussle for the Gold Medal, but Uni will probably take the chocolates but not by too much.

Woodies may drop a game or two here or there next week to consolidate their position as third.

For mine the Wicks were always a monty to beat the rats today but being from the silvertails v the successful tradesmen from further up the beaches chose diplomacy - the chip helps in the derby :) .....Take a bow Pete King - go the Riff

Pirates normally get one team into finals . Their position in all grades requires a bonus point win v MMM's ( in any grade ) and results going their way . So which team to stack ?

Don't think you can stack?? Maybe a bit I suppose.

Once again Pirates their own worst enemies today. Really should have won but just can't close out games. The policy of not taking shots at goal is absurd imo. Backline D has been shocking all year. Wests have to score at least 35 points to win a game because that's the minimum they concede every week. Some selections today were a bit odd. Dave Harvey came straight from airport to play which was an impressive effort. There's always next year!

Manly ladies came out to play, long been known as the best ladies day in the Shute Shield. Champagne and Magners flowed and the ladies had a great night.

It should be encouraged. While they are engaged in their female-female communications, they are not distracting others from their enjoyment of a jolly good game of rugger.
