France topped Romania by 27 points, Ireland did it by 34, and left a couple tries begging. No apparent major injury concerns. They also won all their set pieces.
This time they kicked 29 times from hand, which is far less than Georgia (34), Italy (40), Wales (40), England (44) and South Africa (38). They passed 210 times, (by far the most this round), and managed 511 meters -- that's behind Australia (786), Argentina (678), and South Africa (668). They even got off 9 offloads, one more than Australia did against Uruguay -- but far fewer than Argentina (19), and just behind Georgia, Samoa and Scotland (all with 13), and South Africa (10).
Keith Earls is making tackles and MOTM, Tommy Bowe is finding some form, Chris Henry and Darren Cave looked strong. They started to get loose in the second half, and no one will be happy with allowing that final Romanian try. But now the entire squad has had a run-out, so overall, not a bad night's work.
