Refereeing decisions

Some of you blokes need to consider the possibility, outrageous though it may sound, that it was only ever a penalty & that the citing commissioner, having not so much as issued an off-field caution these past not-quite 36 hours, reached that conclusion some time ago.

Anyone suggesting Read SHOULD HAVE been cited, as opposed to COULD HAVE, is setting a really low bar for similar passages of play involving players wearing colours other than black.......

In other news, apparently ball carriers leading with the elbow are fine as long as they are not in yellow /gold. Bundee Aki with the latest free pass.
I'm sending World Rugby a vowel so they can spell C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y.

You got a clip for that one. Must have missed it. That was my who issue with the Kerevi one, these incidents are a dime a dozen. Wasn't it Skeen again as TMO for the Ireland game?

As an aside, what do people think about Joe Schmidt coming out saying the refs got things wrong in the Ire/Jpn game, here is exactly what they got wrong, and who made the wrong call, oh and btw, the person who got it wrong just happens to be our ref in the next game.

There was a massive one around 72 minutes in the USA v France game as well, when the USA no 4 made his break up the missle

Yeah, not best clip. Does look like he hits his chest with a leading forearm, which actually technique wise looks worst than Kerevi who had his arm tucked and pushed off after contact. His (Aki's) arm bounces up, but no sure he hits neck/head when it does slide up so likely where they'd argue it's different even though I'd say he's gone into the collision with a worst shape than Kerevi, probably just not as dominate so the Russian does crumple back the same as in the Wales game. You'd have to see it at that 20th of a second slowmo to really know, but that's kind of the point isn't it - dime a dozen these. More I see these, the more you have to question Skeen.

Yeh I remember that break - that tall USA player (forget name) almost had a motion where it looked like he was going to come down and wack the France player on the head from above. Had ball, arms really high on his chest. I think he checked himself at the last minute though. Again, was just another big giant against little man. Let the boys play.
