The kid is a ....kid! Speight is a seasoned international. Give the guy a break. He wouldn't even be in the team if we had even half of our injured players back.

He's playing pretty damn well for a teenager that has never played premier grade rugby. Criticising him for something so physiological doesn't help anything.

Exactly. I thought he came out of that big collision with Vaea OK.

It's not a criticism, it's only a recommendation. Just as at the time Genia lost weight and then I recommended weight training and protein shakes for him.

The kid should gain weight in the coming years, if he increases 10 kg he could be our Sonny Bill Williams.

He reminds me the young JOC (James O'Connor), but he's even higher. So he could be the next SBW, Tevita Kuridrani or someone like them.

I remember that he almost was stolen by the NRL clubs, then QLD made a contract for him. It would have been a HUGE loss for Union, I'm very happy that he remain in our code. ;)

Congrats to the Brums- they are a very good rugby team.

I really thought the Reds forwards stood up well for most of the match. Our backs were, as usual, just fucking poor.

Gilly is just stupid- will get cited and cop a nice suspension to boot.

Genia and Pickles kicking is terrible. We kicked the thing away time and time again.

Heard last night that Genia has formally signed to France. Bloke is no loss to QLD as hasn't been consistent for 3 years. They should have got him real cheap

I reckon the Reds season starts in 2 weeks when we get some troops back

Anyone suggesting that a player doing this shouldn't be red carded and suspended is living in the past. How much more dangerous do you need to be?

The test isn't whether Gill intended to inflict serious physical injury on White (which of course he had no such intention), the test is was the player tipped beyond the horizontal in the tackle and thus the potential to cause a catastrophic injury if it goes wrong. This is one thing that the IRB have got right.

Red card plus minimum 4 weeks IMO.

"Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham confirmed the Brumbies would seek to have the tackle cited in the wake of the 29-0 loss."

Wooowhoooo the Reds won

Is English your first language? Don't mean to be rude, just generally intrigued.

My pet hate of Ben Alexander at test level when he is pinged for not knowing how to prop. And even more frustrating when he can't prop against my team but continues to get away with it.
Slipper even reminded the assistant ref on the scrum laws.

This is cleary a penalty not 5min of resets

And just look where Slipper is bound, or not bound as the case may be. Some infringement on both sides. All in all, Benny A got the better of James in that set of scrums, and James looked to be shattered by the last couple of resets.

What's your source? It seemed even lower

They put it up on the big screen at the game there may have been a 13458 but Im pretty sure there wasn't. I should have put in a bid to win the prize they give away I said it looked about 13k in here.

Gill will definitely be cited, as Larkham has stated that the Brumbies will be reporting Gill to the citing commissioner.
I thought the independent citing commissioner decided who was cited, not at the request of teams / coaches? Is this not the case?
