Schadenfreude

Fact of the matter is the Tahs only get up for Reds games. They consider it a successful season if the beat the Reds even if it's the only game they win. Sad really.

I'm going to put "buy an alarm clock" in the Tahs suggestion thread.

It was most definitely a cracker - it wasn't pretty though. ;) This is the main reason I loved it!

Repeated ruck infringements in the attacking 20-30m may see the ref go to the pocket which could give some room for the Reds outside backs.

I hate to rain on your parade, but didn't you watch the Brumbies do this last week? They didn't even get a proper warning.

Haha! Ok, so you don't seriously want to go there. I was just checking. ;-)

The inability of Reds supporters to accept what actually happened is mind boggling. Rewatch the first 20 minutes of the second half. The only thing that saved the Reds was the refusal by Ian Smith (Queenslander) to award a penalty try.

IMO the game will be close - forget about a bonus point. Tahs players will be out to prove their over represented selections in the Wallabies was warranted - The Reds will want to win just to drive the knife into the Tahs a bit deeper and jiggle it around. Passion and whatever goes with it or makes it up will be the winner. Which State has the most passion = Queensland - that should get at least a few bites

Hope for a great game of free flowing rugby with no injuries - REDS by 5

Forecast for rain on Friday and Saturday doesn't help the Reds chances.

Reds still to get the BP. Forget the Tahs being out to prove anything, they've been saying that for weeks. The Reds know how to get themselves up for games like this. Reds by 15.

Sure. That, and the arrogant captaincy to not take the points and the wonderfully inept effort in following those instructions.

My recollection (sitting right in front of it), was that it was the most exciting football I have ever seen. The atmosphere was so intense and the Reds would not yield. The Tah supporters around us were very dirty that the Tah's could not break the line. So dirty that the constabulary was rewarding their behavior with free escorts to the gate.

Say what you will about the officiating but both teams played with the same Ref.

Black. Kettle. Calling. Pot. Watched (quite) a few more NSW/Queensland matches than you, Sully.

Don't know if anyone else has brought this up, but I've just found out Steve Walsh is reffing. Is that game, set, match to the Reds? Just glad it keeps him away from the Brumbies v Blues match ;)

Got me. Taken. Bait.

Guinness contacted me and enquired about this isolated incident over their 100 years of Book of Records' stewardship. I suggested it was a one-off mistake on my part; they didn't believe me!

If Walsh didn't go off the cards would've been dished out.

Yeah, and if my auntie had nuts she would be my uncle. Your point here?

What next, a rehash of how Higginbotham "deliberately crippled" Mitchell? Sigh.

Then again, I haven't read the full thread yet;)
