I can't see Schmidt releasing many guys for this game.

Should be a good game as Wales will probably let some fringe players get a run.
Considering they have lost 9 on the bounce, not sure they can afford to do that

Two TH props on the bench. Odd. Maybe Nonggoor won't be released and Sef Faagase can come into 17 allowing de Lutis to switch to the TH side.

Listening to this weeks The Roar rugby pod cast with JOC (James O'Connor) on as a guest. He was talking about this Wales game like he already knew he was playing 10, think he explicitly said it as well.

If the coaches body language is an early predictor of the result, the Reds have this one ;)

I think Mac Grealy is heavily rumoured to be heading to the Force so if that deal is done I wonder if they’ll leave him out of the team, potentially alongside others who won’t be around in 2025.

I think they'll select the best available given they're already missing so many to the Wallabies.

There are a number of Reds players who have been rumoured to sign elsewhere, I wonder if they've been asked to keep that news quiet until following this game for marketing reasons.

Lynagh hamstring doesn't sound good yet.. and no reports of being released from the Wallabies squad, so expect Creighton and JOC (James O'Connor) will fill 5/8 responsibilities

Not a full 23 rumoured yet though. I expect we probably see the team named today, but not until the wallabies have been named.

The Wallabies have been keeping pretty true to the Thursday team announcement so maybe we won't get a final Reds team either until then.

Yeah, I just saw that in the fairfax piece. Probably worth resting him even if he is available with the option to play the Tonga game after a week back with the squad.

True, though I am wondering of they go a day earlier to build interest and get out ahead of Origin - with game 3 being a decider the wash up from that is going to dominate the news tomorrow.

It'll be interesting to see if/how the Reds target Regan Grace's wing. He converted from league a couple of years ago but has barely played a game of union (excluding age grade before playing league). Les Kiss should be well versed in the sort of weaknesses we might be able to exploit there, particularly after working with Vunivalu.
