it was the nature of the game that the wingers werent involved to heavily

NSW wingers were involved more then QLD's, Davies did a few runs and so did Digby, Digby was even involved in a try.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make sorry. All I was saying is Diggers is yet to hit peak form.

my point is that you cant assume Digby is injured because of his lower invovlement in the last game

Leroy is a massive 12kg lighter then last year, should be interesting to see

A slimline Leroy Houston also comes into the 22 after missing the season opener through injury. The number eight has battled his waistline at times but comes in weighing 12kg less than last season, giving McKenzie hope he can provide the attacking spark Queensland needs from its bench.

"Leroy's had an interrupted pre-season but the good news for us is he's 12 kg lighter than he was last year. I think he's in a good space," McKenzie said. "He hasn't had the opportunity to play the trials so he's probably short of match fitness - but he's fit.

Good times indeed TOCC. Doing the same.

Really looking forward to the debut of Jake Schaatz. Have watched a lot of his rugby over the years and have no doubt he will acquit himself well.

Loving Link's work at the Reds. He has brought a much fitter side into the comp, and the committment and passion was pretty evident last week. Also love how he is blooding youngsters whilst the roster is still full. Shaw and Slipper last week, and Schaatz this week. Much better than throwing them into the cauldron because they are the last man standing. Hopefully Shaw and Slipper will take their 'demotion' positively and come back stronger and all the better for it.

I'm excited, over last weeks disappointment, and, because my glass is half full am going to say Reds by 5.

I'm deliberating. Although I feel the Reds can win. But will they? I just don't know if they have that mental edge, the good thing is, there are a lot of young blokes wanting selection in that team. 10/15 players in the team do not have a secure place in the team. Hopefully that leaves those 10 players, fighting for their rugby career, fully knowing that they could be dropped.

After saying that, I think The Reds will come home by 5.

I have seen there last few heartbreaking losses to the Saders, but am unable to go due to a 'pre-wedding' drinks event thingy (wedding is still over 4 weeks away for crying out loud). That is what happens when you get invited (well more to do with my wife actually) to a wedding from a Hamilton based family!

So I won't even be able to view on tv.

I have no doubt therefore that the Reds will win.

Scotty, if those toffs from Hamilton haven't got the nous to organise a piss-up when the Reds AREN'T playing, I suggest you have nothing to do with them.

I'd considered it, however my marriage may be put on the line if I didn't show.

Hmmm Reds vs Wife?

They both let me down at times, but the Reds seem to do it way more often.

Quick questions about Leroy,

was Ewen McKenzie? at the tahs when he had all his problems?

Woo-hoo. Didn't see that coming. Neither did the 'Saders!!
Buggered up my tip, but stuff it, some bloody good rugby from the Reds.
Well done, Qlders.
Crap outcome for Horwill if it is the ACL, though???

Great win. Genia is becoming one of the best players in world rugby.

Managed to catch most of the second half and wow, the Reds are still rough around the edges but they can string some amazing patches together. Awesome result.

Bummer about Horwill, but may expose some young up and coming locks to the Wallaby environment this year.

At least you know roughly which time of the month your wife will let you down. The Reds tend to pick odd weeks to win which makes their hormonal cycle much more irregular.

The Reds generally cost less.

Crusaders looked a bit flat from the 10 minutes I saw. WTF was up with their handling? Just the humidity in Bris or was it something else?
