You're right PB, I'll be fine with just scraping into the top 4.
So, whats the problem with Spokie then? :nta:
He thinks you meant we won't beat them.

That's what I thought Paarl meant :lmao:

I pick the Bulls to come out with a momentous effort. They know if they win this game it's on foot in the home semi door. The senior players will want to bury the "last game on tour" bogey. The Australian media, commentators and fans have all but written the Bulls off.

I don't know a single Australian media man, commentator or fan who has come anywhere near writing the Bulls off.

Blue, a bit much of a siege mentality there, mate. 7 of 10 tipsters in the SMH have picked the Bulls. I would guess it would be similar elsewhere (well, maybe not the Courier Mail!).
I'm an enthusiastic supporter of any Aussie team against any Kiwi or Saffer team, and I reckon the Reds have a real chance to do it and hope they do. But that is a million miles from writing the Bulls off.

Yeah you know us South Africans. Lager mentality and all that. Dutchman never falls too far from the ox wagon etc etc

Never denied the Reds have a chance. It's a 50/50 call. I guess I was reacting to the Rugby Club which all but handed the Reds a victory. Mind you they all also picked the Chiefs...

About 5 hours till Kick off and I'm starting to get excited!

Blue I wouldn't call it 50/50. I'd say if we win it will be an upset. 66/33 Bulls I think.

Weather is looking fine. No games have been played at Suncorp for a while, so the pitch will be fantastic.

Forward pass before Bulls try?

Chambers has been a bit of a ball hog so far. Should have given it at least twice.

50 50 calls all going for the Bulls so far. Reds getting pinged for holding on, but Bulls getting away with it. Bulls tackled player allowed to get back up with the ball without releasing.

Joubert has to ref both teams.

Bulls also getting tired and likes of Matfield lazy running back onside through the 1st channel.

how well are they playing!!! stack the wallabies with reds and call the team the koalabies

also they should give cooper a laptop for every kick he puts over... he'll never miss one then.

Steyn just has the worst kick of his life.

Such a fast game, glad Link has stacked the bench with forwards. We will need them.

A few less errors attacking the Bulls line and this game could be the Reds. They do however have to up the defensive pressure in their own half. I expect the Bulls to run it more 2nd half.

well what a game! I cant think of a better game for many years and it is not simply because of my Reds support, it was the brand of rugby played. What a great advert for running rugby. The Reds have shown that there is a way to beat the Bulls, run, run, run and when in doubt run it again. The bulls were out of breath after 25 minutes and never recovered.

I hate to complain about the referee and hate to look like a sore winner but this performance was terrible, all game long there were poor decisions that went against both teams.

For the Reds-
Hynes secured a spot in the Wallaby team, he wont start at 15 but will get picked for the bench.
Ionne was great and will be on the wing come the tri nations
Davies is getting better each week, he is now playing rugby rather than athletics
Chambers is now a rugby man, he has left League behind and is in great form and running good lines, 100kg+ centres are alsway a good thing.
A Fainga- once again one of the best on the field, deserves a wallaby jersey but as a running centre rather than a 2nd 10 he wont get picked
Cooper- great once again, he was quiet compared to his games in previous weeks but still world class
Genia- led by example and was great in everything he did

I will group the forwards as one- for the forward pack with least rep players in the S14 they were awesome, forget any notion that Australia is a push over in the forwards, we are now finally world class!

It was great to see the Bulls owned by an inexperienced pack.

And the best is saved for last, the average age of the Reds is around 23-24, take out Humphries and Hardman and it is about 22. Bring on 2011 to 2020!!!!!

It was a fantastic game of rugby.
