JOC (James O'Connor) to the Reds is a done deal, signed already

Great news (that he hasn't signed for the Tahs)

Could this be the back line for 2020 (without injury):

9 McDermott Tait
10 Lucas Isaac/ Stewart Hamish/ Hegarty Bryce (depends on NRC performance & training)
11 Speight Henry
12 O'Connor James
13 Petaia Jordan
14 Campbell/Daugunu (that's a hard call)
15 Lucas Isaac/ Stewart Hamish/ Hegarty Bryce (depends on NRC performance & training)

Bench:
Chris Feauai-Sautia

The way Thorn picks them, there's a fair chance we haven't even heard about our 9 and 10 yet

If the reborn Quade couldn't gel with Thorn, I can't wait to see how he goes with possibly the biggest ego Australian rugby has produced.

Hopefully JOC (James O'Connor) has sorted himself out and pulled his head in. Such a gifted player.

different players though. JOC (James O'Connor) (as far as I can remember) never had those brain fart moments that QC (Quade Cooper) has probably at least half a dozen times a season. PErhaps that kick in his last season with the Reds but I can't think of a whole lot more.

JOC (James O'Connor) has had his issues without a doubt. Many I don't think we heard about. But I keep hearing from multiple sources I respect that the level of 'due diligence' done on him has been unheard of. He's extremely motivate and wants to finish what he barely started.

Great to hear Reg. I'm probably not his biggest fan, personality wise, but really want to see him succeed.

If only he started his career with that attitude, what could have been?

All that ability , but unfortunately we had "Brand" O'Connor when he younger.

Personally, I'm excited at the potential backline that Emu posted. There's plenty of balance to it and is much more well rounded compared to 'Kerevi' ball.

My only concern comes from the skill level. Bryce, Stewart and JOC (James O'Connor) (from what I can remember) all don't have 'fantastic' passing games, so to take advantage of the explosiveness of some of our backs, I'm hoping this will be addressed in the off-season.

Is Sir Dave still working with the Reds? JOC (James O'Connor) was the Wallabies GK back in the day when we never had a kicking coach. So from a Reds and Wallabies level, I'd be keen to see how accurate he can get from proper coaching.

yes, enjoy Seb Wileman and that leaguie prop.

Little harsh to refer to Meroeroa as just a league prop given past union pedigree with Newington College. But yep would have been very happy to have JOC (James O'Connor) for the Tahs...personally think Reds done well to nab JOC (James O'Connor) but surprised given Thorn's past attitude to any drug indiscretions of no second chances that signed up. But from all of what I have read from others on past few seasons with overseas clubs not much reason to not sign him up.

My only concern... if were Sale wanting to ditch someone and not pay out a contract (assuming he was signed up for the next year), or course they would sing his praises
