RR, is this true? England’s failed World Cup coach Stuart Lancaster in contention to take over Reds http://www.news.com.au/sport/englan...s/news-story/90dedf5baa544aac0b24b42737844610
Better record then RG had when they gave him the job ;-)
Lancaster at least got the poms to beat the AB's.
WAS a great coach. Once dubbed the best never to coach QLD. Amateur era record with a stacked Souths team was very, very good. Since those days, very little to write home about apart from the Churchie joint premiership with Cooper and Pocock.
As long his brother realises it's not 1993 still, I think we will be alright.
He coached Leeds to 2 wins in a season and got them relegated.Better record then RG had when they gave him the job ;-)

I'd be relatively happy with a short history as a successful head coach at domestic level - none of the candidates whose names have cropped up even seem to have that.He coached Leeds to 2 wins in a season and got them relegated.
I just don't believe that "better than Richard Graham" is much of benchmark given that it probably doesn't really narrow down the field any.
I maintain that we need to select a coach that has a long history of success as a head coach.
^^^The Big Red got Red from a second Yella. He might have to front judiciary and be rewarded with some holiday time to tour the sights of Manchester.
This is why I can't believe there's no noise about us talking to Blackadder.I'd be relatively happy with a short history as a successful head coach at domestic level - none of the candidates whose names have cropped up even seem to have that.
And maybe that's why RG kept getting appointed...
Im only guessing here but I'd say both his ambition and his price to move to and live in Brisbane is above what we can afford to pay. This is why I can't believe there's no noise about us talking to Blackadder.
Is he already contracted to someone else?

Head coach of a super Rugby side is a step back for him now
Still, I understand he is still in the mix
Frankly we cannot afford NOT to have him. This bloke is THE standout
