While we're having a chuckle, TOCC, let's recall the story of Queensland's first white settlers, courtesy of Wikipedia

Great story, Senior Bruce, but...

If you follow the wikipedia trail it becomes clear that they were NSW tourists who got lost, relied on the locals to survive, and when rescued went back home to Sydney. Poor hicks.

Great comeback, vidiot.

Love your avatar vidiot. :lmao:

Kids watched a muppet christmas movie on the weekend - Pepe the Prawn really caught my eye. And what better look for an inappropriately aggressive muppet prawn than as a waratah? All in good fun, of course....

Someone was mentioning the thought of not having banter but that's ridiculous don't be silly. Without the banter it would be boring. It's only when the banter turns to threatening and serious hating that things get ugly.

Reds brought Damon Kelly(Commonwealth Games Gold Medal weightlifter) in for a bit of a pep talk and training techniques..

Ive met him and his actually a highly intelligent man, by the sounds of it Link might be interested in having him around the gym a bit more to pass on more knowledge ot the boys.

he was actually offered a Reds Academy position back in 2003, he said no to persue his weightlifting career.. His match weight would be much lower, but he was still a massive dude, he was a very good player in his day.

Reds doing there king of the gym today

QC (Quade Cooper) twitted:
Digby pushed out 140kg 5 times with ease and he is coming back from a shoulder reconstruction.. Freak!

Fainga'a Twins:
King of the gym finished. The boys lifting big weight, my money is on James Hanson lifting 170 for 1, great effort by everyone!!

Albert Anae bench 175kg last year, looks like Fainga'a might have to keep a eye over his shoulder if Hanson is lifting heavy

Lee Grant

I'm a recent convert to the importance of core strength thanks to Bruce and a few other folk.

What are the relevant King of the Gym exercises that measure superiority in that area? Seriously.

i suppose the biggest relevance is strength is one area is generally reflected in others areas as well..

Core strength is important in most gym exercises. So therefore if you are dominating a certain exercises, like pull ups or the squat, it also means you have good core strength, go hand in hand really. Hard to just measure it on its own. Unless of course you get the boys to pump out 500 situps or whatever, which isn't practical.

yes i get what LG(Bruce Ross) is saying though, max bench press has little relevance when it comes to tying in with core strength..

It could be if they did it on an exercise ball or something. I saw some footage of the original Rebels training in this way.
