Thought about that, plenty if wallabies in the pack next year, the experience should bode well for the Reds

being a little selfish I'll be stoked if we can line up with a pack of:

1 Ben Daley - Wallaby
2 Saia Fainga'a - Wallaby
3 James Slipper - Wallaby
4 James Horwill - Wallaby
5 Rob Simmons - Wallaby
6 Scott Higginbotham - Wallaby
7 tbc
8 tbc
9 Will Genia - Wallaby
10 - Quade Cooper - Wallaby

12 Ant Fainga'a - Wallaby
13 Will Chambers -Wallaby (almost :p)

15 Peter Hynes - Wallaby

Fixed :p. Seriously though it is looking good for the reds in the future.

Love your work boys. :)

Forget the rubbing of beads, I'm so excited about all this that Mrs daz is going to get a tap on the shoulder tonight.....

Don't forget the past Wallabies in the squad that are all signed up. Holmes, Sheps, Samo, Wallace-Harrison. All experienced forwards.

I have been thinking about this as well. It is all building quite nicely for 2011 and beyond.

yep, tis good with nice depth and raring rookies.

However,Ruggo, AWH never played Wallabies. Aussie A yes, no test matches though.

AWH never really impressed me, TBH. I thought he was a good S14 journeyman at the Brumbies before he left, but not much more. He does add a bit of good depth to the Reds' squad though - it's been a long time since that you could have said that they have some depth in the forwards.

With the cattle we now have, we will have a very formidable lineout height wise.

As much as I love the international season, I can't wait and am busting a gut to see the Reds go round again.

I can't be bothered to look up AWH's height, but from memory he was not a 2M+ lock, more like a lock/blindside "halfling" similar to Mumm / Caldwell. Of course, with a good jump / lift and throw a few cms can be irrelevant in a lineout anyhow.

I skipped over this, but on reflection that is bloody impressive. Can anyone post a comparison to show where the Reds were this time last year in regards Wallaby numbers?

Last year, as in before the international season? I'd say (from the same players):

4 Horwill
11 Digby
15 Hynes (albeit on the wing)

Just need to remember that the selection of these guys is a reflection of there form through the year, as reds fans we can hope that the experience makes them better players..

Based on the performances from the wallabies this year in not surprise people cant wait for the s15 to start again... I went to the bulls and crusaders match this year, and both this games has better atmosphere(with lower crowds) then the wallabies vs Ireland match

Lucky me, the games I missed (through no choice of my own) were the Saders, Bulls and Force!

The Foxsports lads kept mentioning that there were no Wallaby jumpers in the Reds tight 5.

Please let me say that this is going to change very fucking quickly in 2010...

This was my post after the Reds v Bulls game this year. I was subsequently shot down in flames. Flames, I tells ya. Admittedly I was drunk on excitement and had no idea of the injury toll that the Wobs were about to face, but what the hell, I'm an oracle! :)

You know we have a fucking awesome team next year. Plus we have one of the best coaches in the world; Ewen McKenzie.

Reds v Bulls final at Suncorp!

Good on you fellows. I understand the hype after recent history. Just make sure, whatever the names of the players are, that they are capable of winning games that can be won.

If they can do that I will get on the bandwagon too, though I will always support my team more than others.

I hate hype, its a killer set up for disappointment, Reds are still short on depth in key positions which will be crucial in 2011 with the extended season
