I thought our forwards were very good against the Rebels. I'm very confident they can do the job.

Do the Reds have the best 2nd row depth in the competition?

Horwill, Humphries, Simmons, Wallace-Harrison, Samo

It is damn good when you see how well awh played in his first game. No wonder link wanted to try and slot horwill into blindside.

After that excellent result, the Aus conference table is starting to take on an interesting look. I'll be cheering for the ponies today, and no bonus point for the Tahs. Will give us a handy lead at the top of the table for the time being.

Best result for Reds was a Brumbies win. But the Tahs just took it out on the bell.

Why? If the Reds are the shizz, as is being touted by some, they shouldn't care who comes second in the conference? ;) I'd actually like to see 2 Aus teams have a crack at the finals. Anyway, a lot of games to go, so it doesn't make a huge difference at this stage, I reckon.

Depends whether you think it is better than Mumm, Douglas, Vickerman, Timani, Dennis, Jowitt, O'Connor & Greg Petersen - that's pretty good depth too.

Actually yeh I do by a lot!
The only way the Tahs stocks are better, is that you have more names there, Eyes and Ears. Only Douglas challenges. Then again, Samo is shock factor only, not in the same league as the others at the moment.

I do think it is better, a lot better.

Mumm and Douglas are okay but are not world class like Horwill and Simmons. Vickerman hasn't played professional rugby for quite some years. Dennis is a midget, I have no idea who Jowitt is but he sounds bad, O'Connor has played about 2 Super Rugby games ever and I have no idea who Greg Petersen is which means he can't be good.

I love this comment.

Do we know the 26 going for the South African tour? I'm guessing all of the 22 from the Cheetahs game, and Quade just tweeted a photo of Chambers on board. Anyone heard anything about Van recently?

Reds squad: Backs - Rod Davies, Ben Tapuai, Anthony Fainga'a, Digby Ioane, Quade Cooper, Will Genia, Mike Harris, Luke Morahan, Ian Prior, Will Chambers, Dom Shipperley. Forwards - Leroy Houston, Beau Robinson, Scott Higginbotham, James Horwill (capt), Rob Simmons, James Slipper, Saia Fainga'a, Ben Daley, James Hanson, Greg Holmes, Guy Shepherdson, Adam Wallace-Harrison, Radike Samo, Jake Schatz, Liam Gill.

Pretty well rounded squad. Shipperley gets the nod over sitauti. After watching the stormers I think they might be a bit beyond us at the moment, although we should get up over the lions. As always, bonus points are crucial.
