That's insane reading, what the hell was team management thinking when the Police showed up at the hotel after phone calls from France and having to wait for the outcome. That would be one long wait

You'd hope so. If what Timani says is true, then the five year maximum they mention is pretty light, and what are the odds he'd get the maximum anyway?
While I am no way condoning what took place but I think the truth would be part way in the middle. Like any conflict when they talk about it they will both down play their role in it

I was staying at the hotel, but slept in and had no idea of what happened until that night after they had all gone home. Well, most had gone home.

IF true. Agree in principle; this kind of behaviour has no place in anything, let alone sport.

If you delve into the comments, looks like the truth quite hasn’t made it to the surface. Some comments from people there say Pone didn’t throw the punch.

Hang on how can two blokes be guilty if only one punch was thrown. Who ever threw the punch is the one accountable for his actions

The other person could likely be considered as an accomplice depending on their actions during the incident, and if that were so both would need to be held accountable.

But let's see what comes out from this.

A lot of guess work though at the moment, if anything has actually happened the police will deal with it.

It seems strange to post it on Facebook like that (and so many spelling and grammatical errors!). I guess that’s what people do these days, but wouldn’t you go to the police first before composing (badly) a rant on social media?
