Good to see somebody else on the S. Foley band wagon. Can play wing and fullback. He's one of the experienced outside backs, with Batger, that I was recommending as an back up outside back for the Tahs but Nathan Trist got that gig

The Rebels have picked their 5 EPS guys; so the question is whether or not S.Foley would be ready to take Vuna's spot as a contracted player if the pin is being pulled. The thing in his favour is that he has been on the big stage for Oz 7s and therefore big occasions shouldn't worry him.

It's been my experience that most Oz backs who are good at international 7s can take their game to the 15 man version of the sport and can move from club to Super Rugby better than a new Super player who has not benefited from that experience.

Anybody could think of several examples of 7s players who have done well in the past. Some of the fliers have not thrived as strongly as the steppers and quarterbacks but S. Foley has a lot of craft.

The nature of the posts makes me think that he's probably a teenager of some sort, so I'd be inclined to say mate, younger brother or something like that.

Not that I think talking a player up on here would achieve much at all.

The new Melbourne Rebels membership site was launched today. Make sure you sign up or renew ASAP @ melbournerebelsmembership.com.au.

Gives a few hints about some changes for next year. First, the Rebel Army have been acknowledged with their own membership (the details of which are still being finalised) which is great news.

Second, they'll be taking to the field in a delicious new jersey.

Plus I can't help thinking 'There's a Rebel in all of us' sounds like some sort of seedy pick up line. No doubt Cippers will be putting it to good use.

The reds were capalising on there championship and I think hoping quade/Genia would sell during the cup. The rest seem to have waited for the end of the wallabies campaign to sell.

tbh prices are better but still not good enough. it's 30 dollars more than what i'm paying for a melbourne victory membership to stand in the same bay at AAMI Park for 5 less games. I'd guess that AAMI Park is giving rebels a crap tenant deal (like the other teams) for that to be the case, if so i will forgive them for that. As for Rebel Army membership, i have to ask why? surely the GA worked fine last year? I might be dead set paranoid but it gives me the impression that they want to control who get's in and out of the bay, rather than letting new people try it out. there's also the fact that the group is meant to be an unaffiliated supporters group rather than an official 'cheersquad' (ugh i hate that word) and i don't like it when they flog the group all over their media releases and memberships. Then again i am grateful for the concessions granted such as standing so i will wait and see what things are like when i can eventually go again.

Would they not also have a general admission option for the rebel army bay?

I dont know how advanced ticket machines are now days but maybe for the rebel army bay they should have no seat allocation at all, and just sell tickets to the bay until it reaches capacity.

We requested it, so it's more "accessible". It's GA still, take the wording with a grain of salt.
