As long as there's no concern about clotting, it's a perfect opportunity to help with recovery If you put him in business class.

Elevation and immobislation is perfect for serious injury. Keep it iced and pain managed.

Any discomfort is short term and you would imagine preferable than being stuck in a hotel/hospital by yourself + a support person rather than being at home around family.
I hope we still aren’t using ice in rugby - that myth is busted. The inflammation is part of the healing process - restricting it increases the recovery time.

There is some research now that suggests that. But I think you’ve gotta manage the level of inflammation. Letting the body heal over a longer time might be better for that injury long term but it might take far longer and then the athlete loses their conditioning. Not sure it’s black and white.

Anyone buy this year's supporter polo yet?

Rebel sport don't stock them so I'm reluctant to buy without trying one on first - is the Reds shop at the stadium the best spot? (Or is there one out at Ballymore open during the week?)

Alternatively I'm 185cm & 94kgs so am thinking either a M or L (the website says "relaxed fit" so I'm thinking smaller would do)

With that news will be interesting how the reds go about retaining their other locks. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) locked in for 3 years, Canham 2 years (I think). Think they’ll be able to keep both Blyth and Smith?

Ross looked exceptional with restarts and lineouts from the Australian Schoolboys games. Very happy both those boys have been given a runway to the pros. With Trevor King in the front row too, surely the Reds can't stuff this up.

QRU related, not Reds.. but Redlands kicked out of home ground for 2 years. The land is a reclaimed dump and remediation works needed, but bungled contract negotiation by council meant what should have been 6 months from 2026, is now 2 years starting in 2 months

doesn’t sound like they have any alternatives for 2 years, hard to see them not simply folding.

Think maybe was referring to Southern Bay Rugby Club? It's about 20mins away and not on the same scale as Redlands, not sure they would have the capacity at that ground, Wynuum Rugby would probably be closer but not by much.

edit: looks like Southern Bay have changed names to Redland Bay... still same field though.
