Has the dates and timetable for all the games between the teams been released.
By what I see above GPS 1 vs GPS 2 should be a ripper.

Calling it now GPS1 and GPS2 will both put 100 against AIC 1. Been to a few Padua games and from watching Padua play other teams the only boys in AIC who have a chance at making QLD are O'Toole and Taylor. Creighton, Wood and Sikimeti may also have a chance at making combined states. O'Toole needs to lift his scrumming up to the next level to make QLD, he rarely dominated scrums in AIC... Taylor is too small for #8, however certainly an option at #6 for QLD 1, 2 or a utility backrower on the bench. It will be interesting to see how the matchup between Wallis vs Taylor/Sikimeti goes.

Honestly not seeing many great specialist blindsides in QLD. I think Sikimeti has a good chance at the 6 jersey for QLD.

The 6 will either be Sikimeti or Koortz, with Taylor as a LF option in the second XV team or combined states.

Not sure if Sikimeti will being playing at 100% with his injury. Koortz won't be QLD 1 as #6, selectors will want someone who can jump at #6. Taylor is better than Sikimeti, thus why he got the #8 for AIC and sikimeti got the #6 jersey.

There are a few #6 around. Specialists I don't know if we can call them that, but there are some good quality flankers around.

But you know as well as I, every boy at some stage of his rugby career "wants to be a back rower". So we will wait and see!

TSS Big #8 deserves another look at, thought he played well in the 1st trial and against BBC the weekend.

Thumper

Bob McCowan (2)
Agreed Tss # 8 should be given a go but more so the TSS #7 destroyed the BBC #7 and dominated the breakdown at the trials, ref kept pinning all the boys for hands in the ruck when clearly the flankers (from which ever team) had all rights. I asked the ref after the game as to his decisions, answer, "the referees want to see a more free flowing game". Seems to me its not their decision to make, effectively taking out the contest in the breakdown, no wonder we get spanked by every other international team at the breakdown.
Question, some boys were selected as shadow reserve for the Aus Schools boys last year, does this have precedence over state selection as far as automatic selection into GPS1 etc goes?

Don't get me started on Referees Thumper! My three little pet distractions with Rugby (particularly schoolboy Rugby) are:

1) Referees judgements/general decisions; like "we wanted a free flowing game" (BS)
2) Crotch binding in scrums (who was the wacko that changed that?!!?!) &
3) Rucking (not stomping). This activity actually reminds the opposition that he must obey gentlemen's rules, have some manners and get off the ball or get out of the way for a bit!

For 2 & 3 I have never seen anyone permanently scared for life or damaged beyond repair.

I agree that we just don't practice them anymore and I think Australian Rugby has tied one hand behind our young men's back.

Is the TSS 7 Angus Allen? Because he's been selected as the 20 in GPS 1.

Correct but one would have thought he'd in one of the three 1st 15 line ups, then again you never know what strategy the selectors are employing??

Don't forget guys that there is a Chairman's XV, so some of these aforementioned may show up in that team. Hugh any word on the Chairman's XV? If not can you give Mr McCall a call, get him on the horse?
