Yeah Id seen that, announced their new Colts 1 head coach the other day too. Brothers obviously lose JOC (James O'Connor), heard Paddy James might be moving on (o/s) ? Also heard some potential movements from Souths with Taj going to league and Lachlan Stewart potentially looking to go overseas. HMP maybe looking elsewhere too

I'll be interested to see where the Souths Colts Coaches end up too for that matter

Anyone worried that ARU/QRU has lost a number of players to the NRL this year - Gordon, Markie Mark & now Taj Annan.

Only one that will be missed is mark. Taj never cracked it at Reds nor club land. Gordon while a great player had no home to go and appeared out of Aussie gold with them liking Tom and Noah. Mark is a huge loss and in my eyes one of the best wingers in aus over recent times.

Souths are in that uncomfortable position where they had/have a heap of really good players in that 20-25yr old range who will start making decisions based on career opportunities and not just whether they want to be playing at Souths anymore.

Same thing happened to GPS a number of years back when they had a bunch of fringe Super Rugby/Wallabies such as Kerevi and Kuridrani playing who were clearly a level above QPR, but they didn't manage to make it click and win a 1st grade premiership together and then essentially weren't seen again as they were always playing professional footy.

Phil that’s a good assessment of where it is at. Speaking to some of the players around the place I think they are also not happy with how certain sections of the coaching staff & volunteers have been treated.

Players are not stupid… You move on successful & beloved 2nd Grade coaches, then fire the best Colts Coaching set up in QLD… that has to tell you there are some issues that will send players elsewhere.

Watch this space I suspect.

Do you have any mail on whether a few sponsors are getting cold feet as well?

I have heard some are very pro Garrick Morgan and jumped on board purely because of him, whilst others hold allegiances elsewhere at the club and there could be a mass exodus of cash as well depending on who blinks first.

So who is making the decision to move these coaches on? It seems odd to have a 'personality clash' with so many coaches, is it Garrick or management?

Garrick has been the DOR up until quite recently, I believe he has made the changes

Interesting. I thought Smith’s (primary jersey sponsor) were tipping in a fair chunk of cash specifically to keep Garrick happy as he’s got a relationship with the firm.

broke? Some other factors to consider is the offseason rennovation with clubhouse and changing rooms..
