My logic about that is sharpe is a rugby addict. If he was living back in Brisbane he might find the appeal if playing on a less gruelig schedule compared to what he was doing a year ago with force and wallaby commitments

i like the idea....i wonder if van humphries will be running around for souths as well......

Sharpies working as a commentator for Fox Sports so he might not be able to fit in in to his busy schedule.

the dream is over.....

but jets very happy to hear about ben adams, will his selection in the aus sevens team mean he is no chanc eof playing any premier rugby this season or he will just be away for half of it?

Dallan Murphy has gone over to play in France apparently, which is a big loss for the mighty Filth. He is a talent and I hope he goes well over there.

Based on the try he scored against Fiji after executing a prior turnover I would think his next game of club Rugby will be in late August.

Will Vili Fainga'a finally get a super rugby contract this year? I am guessing he is still playing for Uni? Played agaisnt him a few times...one of the hardest hitting mofos I have ever played.

I doubt he was hardly the best back rower in the comp and he has now been capped by tonga I believe so no dice on the super 15 front. Maybe he could play pro d2 or English championship

Agreed on Vili , if we talking about the Fainga'a pedigree then he certainly is the runt of the litter, I'm not saying he is a bad footballer but he doesn't deserve super rugby contract on the back of his brothers name & as I recall he may of even had some games in reserve grade for the students last year?

He played most of the season in reserve grade from memory. The students used Arvier, Browning, and Mitchell (?) in the backrow for most of the season.

where did you here that from? i think he would struggle to have 20 prem grade caps to his name

Just through the grape vine - I am a Canberra boy and played in the same div as Vili as a junior so you still hear reports...plus I read somewhere that he was looking to get a reds contract.

I think it was mentioned when he went from league to union at begginign 2011 but not anymore, i was acutally surprised he had gotten a tonga cap to be honest as i hadnt seen his name on team lists for a while.

how old is he now anyway?

Yea mate I was surprised on the Tongan Cap! He was always a fantastic player but def not as good as the Saia, Anthony, Colby.

He would be 24-25.

Anyone wanna help me with my fox sports fantasy team and tell me about the cheap bolters from Brisbane Club Rugby whom might be in the regular 22?

Is Ed Quirk ready to be Scott Higginbotham replacement? How about that Samoan winger who scored on debut last year before tearing his hamstring? I guess I could ask the regulars over in the Reds 2013 thread but its the keen eyes in clubland who know all about the sleepers and next big things!

Bolters (provided they get picked)
Junior rasolea (Force)- can find a try line from anywhere
Tom Cox: unofficially the fastest player the Brumbies have ever had (testing changes make direct comparisons tricky)- also scored a blistering try for Brumbies against Wales last year.
Curtis Browning - on a short term deal at the moment for the Reds. Loads of talent and while you'll pick him up cheap (pretty much for nothing) his value will grow.
Matt Lucas (Tahs) fantastic halfback who plays well above his weight.
Tevita Kuridrani (Brumbies)- massive kid, massive talent. Try-scoring++ and soid defender.

A lot of these guys won't start (probably) but they'll be super-cheap buys if they get a run

definitely agree with rasolea he is a hot tip to be in the force 22 and looked the goods in trials.
On the matter of cox being the fastest in the Brumbies squad, I am pretty sure I actually read the other day that he was beaten or that someone other than him had clocked the fastest time, I will have a look around and let you know but I am positive I read that.
I was also wondering if anyone was aware on the Joel Faulkner situation has he been sighteed at easts training? As it seemed in the statement made by the reds that it was more professional rugby that he ha decided to walk away from not rugby in general.
