Some quality in the Uni v Sunnybank game. Should be good to watch, it's a pity I'm away.

Hey all. I heard a rumour tonight that Mitch Wade has moved to GPS. Can anyone confirm or refute?

Although having someone of mitch wade's calibre at the club can only of been a lus for wests. I must say in the one game he played for the dogs he looked well behind the pace and alot of can bar pundits exclaimed mick lee looked to be the better option.

I find his move to GPS interesting though considering he left Uni to avoid the reds trickle down effect which effectively left him wallowing in reggies. Yet he goes GPS were he will only suffer the same thing under saia Fainga'a

Thats the first i'd heard of Wade being at GPS but it does seem strange. At the club this year there seems to be a plethora of Premier Grade standard front rowers around, so much so that some blokes who were running on for reggies last season will be making their 2013 debut off the bench in 3rd grade. Strange move but we'll see what happens. My thoughts were similar when Grasso came across but he seems to have made the Premier #9 jersey his own for the time being.

How do you feel about your spreads Jets upon seeing team lists?
I'm still fairly happy with how I've gone considering I hadn't seen a team lists for most clubs. I shortened the margin in the Uni v Sunnybank game from my initial thoughts on the basis of the team they are putting out.

Only bodes well for the end of the season. I know wests depth is being tested early

Shame about Wade leaving the Kennel, massive unit of a hooker.

I do know that the poaching phones were ringing hot on some of our players once the news of Phil's departure was announced.

Disappointing that other clubs would think we are a vulnerable bunch of gypsies and not take the time to know that players choose Wests for the culture just as much as the coaching regime.

I tried to insert a picture of Borat doing the whole 'gypsy give me your tears' but I can't work the internets very well.

I think Wests will be very strong this year regardless of the coach. They would have had good habits drilled into them during the pre-season and should hopefully carry that through the season.

No dramas Purce, we are allowed to disagree. Obviously I made this comment undisputed toughest 2nd rower in club rugby knowing that the real toughest S.O.B got a contract in Japan & won't be playing for Wests this year (Dan Linde)

Good to see that in this forum people can disagree without being called trolls or told you are talking crap simply because you have a different view:D . Petey is probably one of the most aggressive I'll give you that! I didn't know Linde picked up another contract over there. Good for him. Also glad Dizzie Gillespie decided to go another round at the Kennel, he would have been a huge loss.

I just noticed Miles McCaffrey starting at 7 for Sunnybank, anyone know why he made the move? Involve the Reds?

Toua withdrawn from the Easts vs Norths game. Decision by the Reds apparently, and not injury related.

Jarrad Buttler will get time off the bench however.

So a bit of an anti-climax in regards to Wests first game of the season, having the half-ton put on by Brothers.

I think that'll also show all of us that Brothers can never be overlooked.
