^I see what you did there

Careful now you don’t want to let too much of the Cat out of the bag before GT assumes the position v TSS :)

Ever wondered why he regularly stands there for defensive lineouts ?

Are they that worried about his defence? Or just trying to protect him from the traffic that would be headed his way if he stood at 10?

Geez Nomad, I am buggered if I can work it out, I have wondered about that myself. Is it his defence (mind you don't know I would want a poor defender there, because you cop the blindside moves), or is it so he running around to take ball from any breakdown that quite often happens 10-15 metres infield. Seems a little strange to put your 9 in the 10 position top take the traffic that comes through there. Must watch again and see if the new 9 also stands in the 10 position!

The Southport School have edged Brisbane Grammar 25-20 at Northgate.

BBC cruised past IGS 55-12 in a big win on Old Boys Day at the old school campus in Ipswich.

Churchie's defence led the way in 24-12 winover Gregory Terrace.

Nudgee College currently lead Toowoomba Grammar 31-5, moments into the second half.

NC 62 TGS 10. No bounce back from the TGS First. Nudgee all class and playing away did not bother. They now have scored 161 points in the last 3 games. Wow.

And on current form, Grammar will beat Terrace next week.

Hopefully, no major injury this week.

Great Old Boys day at IGS back at the old school grounds,
That BBC backline was too big, fast and slick -and scored some brilliant tries in a 55-12 win.
BBC lock (yellow head gear ) was my MOM followed by IGS 9 and IGS 15.
If there has been a faster 11,14 & 15 than BBC has now in the last decade -I have not seen it. Would like to see a match -race between them -I would back 14 (just).

PS-Do not thibk BBC has forward muscle to beat TSS;
BBC 10 does not have the kicking game of TSS 10.
Both IGS tries off kick errors

It was a serious question from me , I haven’t watched a lot of TSS , but every game I have seen for the past 2 seasons , that is where he stands for defensive lineouts .

Agree , you would think that someone would have challenged that short channel by now . The first pick 9 for TSS is very good defensively , played back row up until around U15, and is very good over the ball. Have seen him put some great hits on this year and get a few pilfers , so maybe it’s as simple as that .

Normally a reason why a player regularly stands out of position in defence . Particularly when he is the quality of Parata.

I believe the BBC winger is the QLD 200m sprinting State Champion.
He is not. BBC did bring a lad (Nketia) from ACT this year but he has returned home...that boy did win the QLD Junior U18 sprint double this year (February). The 15,Bowyer, was 7th in both the 100 and 200 in that comp...his times were ok but not outstanding. the State Juniors is not the same quality as the QLD Schools champs that are in October.

NO.
If the BBC 15 is Jack Bowyer then he was second in the U16 100 at GPS 2017. Josh Crowley (BSHS) was first. Bowyer did win the 200m.
I do not know who the BBC 11 is but the GPS Open 200m in 2017 was won by D. Gale from IGS. S. STEPHENS from BBC was second.
The only way that the BBC 14 can be the 2018 QLD Junior U18 100/200 champion is if his name is Edward Nketia and he is from the ACT.
