Thanks for clearing that up.GPS comp is U11 through to Opens. All GPS schools (except State High) compete in U11's nothing to do with AIC.

State High won 3 out of the 6 'A' team premierships. 12's, 14's, and the 1st 15. They may lack depth but appear to be doing something right. So the 2016 GPS Rugby Season is at an end.
So here is how the "Whole of School" premiership would look:
1. GT - 175.5
2. NC - 175.0
3. BBC - 162.0
4. TGS - 143.5
5. TSS - 125.5
6. BSHS - 118.5
7. IGS - 115.0
8. ACGS - 96.5
9. BGS - 56.5
I think this is a pretty fair summary of the GPS rugby. GT and NC always a strong thanks to their depth with GT just getting over their cross town brothers thanks to the 1stXV yesterday. BBC continue to build their depth across all ages and will soon challenge the title of number one rugby school. TSS and TGS are always a threat especially at home while State High and IGS suffer from a lack of depth, while Churchie and BGS are working on rebuilding that depth.
Great season and congratulations to al the boys across their age groups and grades, well done all the best in 2017. And maybe the GPS Heads will look at a Whole of School Premiership to reward all the boys not just the 1st XV as they do in rowing.
And let me compliment the IGS hospitality. Every time I visit that school I am impressed with the politeness and friendliness of both the students and the parents.Hello all, what A season of Rugby, great shout out to Double take for great job and the commentary, was great for extended family all around the world to be able to watch.
I was at Igs and BBC game yesterday and was horrified at behaviour of bbc. I know you are all going to boo hoo me and think I am just picking on BBC, but just let me show these points and you make your own mind up.
Remember I am just a punter but a punter that believes sport is a great way to shape and influence young men as they prepare for the real world.
1/ BBC boys injured asked to move behind ropes were rude and belligerent to Ipswich Staff
2/ One of Coaching staff stood behind the posts swinging umbrellas as kicker was taking penaltys, did it twice
3/ Boys in vehicles in areas they should not have being doing burnouts on the grass as they left ripping up grass. BBC teacher chased after them and they ignored the teacher. Mates of the driver cheering on, this all visible from the main seating area, and marks left are significant. I am sure grounds men will be upset.
4/ Igs boys sitting for 15 minutes at afternoon tea, waiting for BBC boys who lingered up in their own time
5/ bbc boys turn up to afternoon tea with no shirts on, just blazer over the top of bare upper body.
6/ What makes me the most upset was seeing IGS mums preparing great food, hot food, having to wait around whilst bbc boys took their time and food went cold. Was very disrespectfull.
7/ Even BBC parents were urging their boys to hurry up to no avail
I know a lot of you young men will struggle to understand this, But Can I tell you that manners and respect for an invitation to someone's house or fields is not a lot to ask. I really hope BBC hierechy understand this and Rectifiy.
This table simply reflects depth and not performance. How can winning a first 15 premiership be put on par with winning an under 11's c game.So the 2016 GPS Rugby Season is at an end.

BSHS current student population are 55 percent girls.
They have no under 11 students.
So straight away they are disadvantaged and it is like comparing apples to oranges.
If you are trying to compare rugby programs, have you included the BSHS girl sevens rugby program that has won many national and international games and has produced many current Australian seven rugby players and gold medal winners
Have you included that BSHS girls teams won every division in the SEQ competition finals on the weekend??
Just because the Penrith Panthers won the NRL under 20's does not make that club as successful as the NRL premiers - the North Queensland Cowboys.
I am just saying that your table does not reflect a full picture.

Under Age Season wrap
14’s
BSHS confirmed their dominance for this season and deservedly sit alone at the top of the ladder, but must surely be thinking they’ll need a new game plan for next season as the challenges keep rising from all corners of the South East. They got out of jail in round 1 V GT, were held to a draw up on the range, found it hard going to defeat IGS on the scoreboard and proved a little too big and fast for BBC. BBC thought they had closed the gap on second only to suffer a 22 point loss to IGS in the final round, but they made easier work of GT than either IGS or BSHS were able to manage and as such I have them winning the lot next season, aided by GTs immersions issues.
GT played some amazing footy this season but lacked the depth of the big 3, at full strength in the first game of the season they probably worried BSHS more than any other side including TGS. TGS are very much in the mix here and like GT probably suffer more from depth than class issues. NC got better as the season wore on and could worry the top 4 by seasons end next year.
Nudgee did not get smashed by Terrace. They were beaten because of hopeless goal kicking. He missed six shots at goal. NC 3 tries. GT 3 triesYes BSHS will not just need a new game plan, they might need new players. They only best GT in round one by reverting to 10 man rugby and going up the middle where their size got the results. That won't be easy to do next year, and I fear the boys in the team will struggle if they have to move the ball more.
I doubt NC will trouble anyone, from what I heard GT absolutely smashed them in the final round, NC too had to revert to pick and go up the middle to get anywhere. I wonder what the GT v BBC game would have been if GT had depth or were at full strength.
BBC disappointed in the final round against IGS, I would think they'd be upset about that. They have a decent side, could do very well next year, it all depends on how kids grow and develop in the off-season. They did lack a bit of size BBC.
TGS is the team to watch for sure. I thought they had plenty of talent and were held back by an ordinary game plan that didn't use those outside backs of theirs too much.
BGS
.. WILL BORGER
Nudgee did not get smashed by Terrace. They were beaten because of hopeless goal kicking. He missed six shots at goal. NC 3 tries. GT 3 tries
Will be competitive next year. Do not write them off.
My favourites for 2017 are TSS.

My bad. I thought you were referring to FirstXV.I think we're talking about different games, GT won 45-17, that is a smashing.
Watch the YouTube video of GT v NC FirstXV match and tell me if Nudgee goal kicker did not cost them the game.Taipan,
Are you talking 1st XV or U/14? While I like your choice of favourites for 2017 (1st XV), don't let your bias reflect your version of the game. It annoys me that people blame goalkicking etc for the loss. Did GT miss any kicks? Kicking is part of the game
This may be better suited to a GPS 2017 thread when it starts, but below is what I think might be the yr11 16 or 17 yr olds that played firsts this year and would assume will push for selection next year. Did I miss anyone?
ACGS
Tom Hughes
Fin Hume
Think you can add these players to ACGS
JP Tominiko
Jack Slack
Jimmy Archer
Tristan Stanghon
Plus a few U16 and U15 who ran on this year.
I saw 2 games at BBC and was impressed with no.8 who is back next year plus a few other forwards but don't know their names. Fairly good list you got there mate. Looking forward to 2017.
