Good afternoon, gentlemen,
It’s great to see the forum actively discussing the upcoming pre-season and speculating on the competition landscape. I’d like to hear your thoughts on Brisbane Grammar School (BGS) this year—do you believe they have the potential to secure a victory and put an end to their losing streak from the 2023-24 season? Looking forward to your insights.
Not really much going for them other than Harper Enasio pardon my spelling

I don't believe so, but their performance in the upcoming Ballymore Cup can give a good insight

This will be one of the closest seasons, i will be backing the likes of TGS, NC, BBC, TSS and BSHS. Should be a very close season. Hoping the boys in blue and gold go all the way for the 150 but i think their defence and ruck work is what let them down last year. The year they came 2nd in 2023 when there defence was elite and had the likes of Joey Gray and Jimmy White who are specialists in the ruck.

St Laurence's won AIC in 2021-23 and were equal second last year. Their 10 Finn Mackay has left but will still have a pretty strong team and will be in the hunt for the 25 AIC title.

If that's the case might be a trial to keep our eye on. A good hit out for the much spoken about TGS team.

Will the boys from Toowong (BBC) going to South Africa in the Term 2 holidays play a impact on the season, the experience these boys will gather is going to change there lives especially the Bash Bros (Oscar Donnovan, Jack Randall)

ACGS v St Andrew's (NZ) 11/4.
Interesting to see how they go this year with the AUS U/16 prop moving to France. Lots of key injuries last year and second year for their revamped program.

They’ll probably improve. The player in question was out of his depth in scrums last year, gave away too many penalties due to being unable to set at a low level, which unfortunately set the platform for their struggling performances.

Toowoomba Grammar will play St Laurence’s and Bond University at the Gold Coast, should be very exciting. TGS will be missing a few players due to minor injuries but their new outside back from new zealand will be getting his first run.

We'll get to see a variety of schools and their preseason preparations at the Ballymore Cup from Friday. Two GPS schools in action in U18s Div 1.

And there are six teams in the U18s Div 2, including interstate schools from NSW and Vic.
