On another note, Terrace's biggest forward Willem Cassady is even bigger and stronger then last year. Whilst only playing 16A's last year he is on the verge of the XV this year. His shear size nearly 140 kegs is impossible to stop on a crash ball or near the line. If I was in charge of this Terrace side he would be a quick stint player for me utilised as crash ball specialist.

Great banter boys but best get back to class and learn the difference between sheer and shear.

Good Morning All!

I am a current GPS 1st XV Rugby mum at Nudgee college, however I won't name my boy to embarrass him (LOL!). I just wanted to say how interesting the Nudgee and BSHS half time snacks were. As I love to help out with the team, I made the boys oranges and apples for half time, as well as a green powerade mix for the electrolytes. However, the BSHS boys were munching on Mangoes and oranges. Just wanted to hop on here and wish all teams for the best for upcoming trials and the season, as well as encouraging the other mothers of GPS to get involved with their boys teams! Stay tuned to see this weeks half time snacks - Spoiler Alert!!! There's 3 different types of fruit and some cookies!!!

Thanks All

Just wanted to make note of one interesting prospect I have scouted. Electrifying halfback all around legend Edward Grice has recently been moving through the halfback ranks at GT and his come up is extremely impressive to say the least. Shredded to the gill and as talented as any other player on his day, he knows when to work and when to relax (trust me). His vision is unmatched and I am personally so excited to see him perform this season.

The skipper for tss is looking out of this world. He goes by the name of blaze moana and his companions jonah rangiwai and kingsley uys are his partners in crime. Watch out for the ferocious forwards!

Hey Lads,

Has anyone heard of the potential lineup for Nudgee this week. After a poor performance against the gryphons, Id like to see Elwee's response to this shocking result. I for one would incorporate Zac Shaddy, a barnstorming ball runner with teddy prowess. Either way ill be keen to see how it plays out this weekend.
Hears to a good round of footy,

The real reg
He's big, he's strong, he's got game sense. Wouldn't see why Zac "Teddy" Shadforth wouldn't slot right in. An absolute wrecking ball

After watching Terrace's performances on the weekend I believe Oscar Spicer will be crucial in Terrace's successful campaign this year. Comes in at 5'11 95kg, he is the perfect dimensions for 13. His agility and speed off the mark is also impeccable for his weight. Prestyn from Nudgee better be on his A game when terrace round comes or else he'll be in for a shock. GT are you ready ready?
Do not discount the other star player at Terrace, Alejo Luongo Ruiz. He has the heart of a lion, an absolute weapon on the field. Originally from Argentina, Alejo has been working through the ranks at St Joseph's and has always been a standout player, consistently finding himself in the A or B team, a testament to his incredible skill and dedication. His journey through the ranks has been nothing short of inspiring, marked by hard work, perseverance, and a passion for the game that is evident every time he steps onto the pitch. Alejo's prowess isn't limited to his technical abilities; his leadership qualities shine as brightly. He commands respect from his teammates and opponents, leading by example with his work ethic, strategic thinking, and unyielding competitive spirit. Alejo consistently demonstrates why he is one of Terrace's most invaluable players.

The fact that nudgee has multiple boys repeating grade 12 to play first XV again speaks volumes about the school and what they truly care about. On another note I do support the predictions of BGS season, with Fraser mcreight coming back in the coaching staff the boys from Spring Hill have a real chance to spoil some parties in this comp.

When the RD9 final whistle blows I wouldn’t be suprised at all if it ends up being a shared premiership. I belive the boys from the range already have one hand on the trophy. With key players joining the program including rosemond from Townsville as well as Jarvis Orr from the Waratahs academy they are a real shot. BBC have also been developing Nicley off the back an experienced pack that knows the comp like the back of there hand. Key players like gray O’Neil, Frank howarth and Cormac Burke will steer the ship in the right direction. The third contentious I believe is GT. These boys have developed exceptionally through the age groups and they are keen to get there shot. Several reds representatives are ready to break the drought at tenneyson. There forward back are immense at the break down and the backs have a X factor. Based on the trial on Saturday Gt flankers illot and grose will be a handful this season. And lastly although nudgee will be solid I don’t think they are a chance this year. The competition has risen to new standards with no team being an easy win and nudgees long streak of success will come to an end.

State High 1st 15 beat the Nudgee Second 15 by 2 points
Hey Mate yeah Nudgee‘s loss was likely due to their loss of rising star Hamish ‘The Hammer’ Clifton. With the young gun moving to downlands to be reunited with his family on their sheep farm in the darling downs region. The Hammer was a promising Flyhalf who played a dominant season in the 15As last year, with rumours of him putting large pressure on Charlie O’Connell. Clifton a typical pass first number 10, scored 7 tries in 8 games last year, didn’t miss a conversion 17 of his attempts. I’m keen to see this player play in the GPS‘s bye rounds.

Hey Lads,

Big news for Nudgee College this week with young gun Nick Conway back in. Unsure of the extent to his injury or why he was out but he’s back now, could be at fullback as well.

This front row is going to have a real good fight against Churchie‘s big boys of Sio, Harry Solofa and Gordon Barrie. If you haven’t heard the name Gordon ‘Ruthless’ Barrie, it’s probably because he’s only new to Anglican Church Grammar School. Starting the beginning of this year all 114 kilograms of this boy is ready for the big smoke in the Queensland GPS Comp. Moving from New Zealand, this kiwi will be a challenge for any other GPS scrum.

Wouldn’t be suprised at all if these boys end up going all the way. Based on there trials last Saturday they will be very hard to beat. The forwards are undoubtedly the fittest in the comp with there prop Nick Weir running a 4:50 bronco at 102 kg. The work ethic from the forwards alongside there ball running backs like Joe Grice will prove to be the difference. They are a team that all do there job with no individuals. They will definitely be eating some shark fin soup at the village green come Rd1.
