Hot Day on the w2eekend could suit the more mobile Wests Team but I think Souths have had the kick up the backside that they needed after the Semi Final loss and will get the chocolates

Yes a point more than their opposition. That's how rugby scoring goes. They didn't play well but they are in the GF and 7 other teams aren't.

a nice little rivalry between these 2 squads, considering their premier outfits are also strong - we may see some of these boys playing again in premier grade grand finals in coming years

Great wins to both Souths Colts 1 & Colts 2. Poor scenes at the end of the Colts 1. Not sure if it was Wests being poor loosers or Souths being poor winners. Everything should've been left on the field.
Souths played to their potential and were the better team IMHO.
Two Premierships in Colts(Colts 2 were back to back Premiers) and Colts 1 now Grand Finalists and Premiers in successive years.
I've got an idea for Souths. Why don't you sack the coaches that have directed the programme for the last three years. Just a suggestion.

Personally looked like a bit of a dog shot, looked like tempers were getting high towards the end.

Think the souths support ran on before ref whistled FT and made that a tricky situation to control with so many extra bodies on the field.

Obviously the Wests player created that situation with the late cheap shot on the Souths kicker. Game was over at that point was pretty pointless. Hopefully the QRU will deal with him accordingly.

Absolute deplorable scenes at the end. Jamie Alexander late shots the Souths winger and it erupts. The ref incorrectly awards the souths winger a mark when he caught the ball outside the 22. Both benches clear and Souths spectators clear the hill. The most disgusting act was one of the Souths coaches who had Wests 11 on the ground with his knee on his throat. I hope this grub never coaches again and is banned for life. No wonder Garrick Morgan sacked the coaching staff midway through the season.

One of the south's team coaching staff got involved and had a west player on the ground with the knee in the neck....grown man taking on a colt....hope you are proud of yourself....what a grub. The QRU should go after that clown !

Moving forward, West 21 just ruined it for every club going onto the pitch after games.

Where were the police and/or security at fulltime? Are there not QRU ground managers/duty officials on hand? The referee got caught up in the melee. Amateur hour all round (once again) from the QRU.

When the Souths coach weighing about 120 to 130kg took his considerable body weight off the neck of the kid from wests, you could see he had been choked, wiping the froth from his mouth. Is this where we are at? Cops were there, they just filmed it with body cam.

Hopefully he gets a very significant ban if not life for what he did.

OMG! just watched the video of the Colts 1 melee. Sooooo many bad and scary things. This should never be allowed to happen again and I trust that a full review of the incident occurs and some significant penalties are applied. Both clubs also need to take these matters in hand and address them. Seriously scary.

If that Souths coach doesn’t get a serious ban at least 10 years the QRU needs to have a good look at itself. Hopefully the police are investigating this and lay charges.

I think you might be overegging it a bit. The nearest comparable I can remember was a few years ago when a brothers waterboy came off the bench to get involved in a fight during a match. I think he got 6 weeks. Nothing happens without the Wests 21 hitting the souths player on full time. The timing was just the perfect storm of bad with spectators running onto the field to celebrate a GF win and a push and shove sparking off with a frustrated player doing something stupid.
The Coach deserves sanction but so do many others in this mess.

The coach is getting charged with assault. A grown man weighing 120kg plus taking on and putting his knee and body weight onto the neck of an 18yr old whilst he was on the ground is not comparable. Yes there are others that indeed need to be sanctioned, and I have already said that if Jamie Alexander doesn’t do the late shot it doesn’t start. The coach needs a very lengthy ban of at least 10 years if not life otherwise what message does that send???
