Giteau and Genia in doubt

If it were based on the form from that match then you could add another few names to that list..That would be based on from
Skelton isn't going to get better by not playing, with an eye on the RWC I say keep starting him. He will only get better, we already know what Horwil can offer.

If you're going to start with both Pocock and Hooper then you need another lock who is a set piece specialist.....
The problem then is who would you take off for Skelton? Because Pocock and Hooper are going to go 80 mins......
If we are going to turn Wallaby selections into a basis for players to practice the fundamentals of their positions, we are stuffed. Yep we know what Horwill offers, we seen what Horwill offers and dare I say our front row felt what Horwill offers. Take the name Horwill out of the equation and leave it at what a conventional lock who is astute in the fundamentals of the position can offer.
No that's not what I said.
Skelton earned his selection through his Super Rugby form and proved himself to be one of Australia's best locks, there are few who disputes that. One bad game shouldn't be the trigger to drop him,
Probably the same reason we have played them at the Gold Coast and PerthWhat is it about the Argies putting us in Mendoza all the time - this will be 3 tests on the trot and we haven't played in Buenos Aries since 2002. I'm not bothered about the town or the ground per se, it just seems to be a difficult place to fly to when you have a 7 day turnaround between tests.
As for the comments about the scrum performance, well as a Reds fan it hurts me to say this but much of the pressure was been applied trough the loose head side, which had Slipper at prop and Simmons at lock.
The improvement later in the match could be attributed to new props from both teams not just the inclusion of Horwill.

Hard to disagree with what you're saying Shelts. If Giteau defends at 10 (and To'omua at 12) off lineouts/scrums, I'd be content with that backline.
McCalman (or Palu if Cheiks want to temporarily halt his extended rest) in for Higgers, who I presume will be relegated to the bench.
I would however start Skelton again, and seriously consider starting Pocock against the Argies for his skillset - even though Hooper did little wrong. This would be predicated on whether Skelton can jump enough to be a viable lineout option, or if he can be a lifter for Hooper/Pocock or Palu/McCalman.
Starting Sio and Holmes could be an option, but I doubt Cheiks will want to tinker around with the lineup too much.
