NZ Domestic Rugby 2021

Much-touted (incl by me to be fair) Auck piggies getting shown up a little by workman-like Tribe in all set-piece facets. Probably won't last once the bench players come on but must be a worry for Leon & co.

Edit: Ofa & KT on already so, yeah, it's a worry for them.

Faiane normally makes good decisions but that kick was definitely not one, unfortunately. Would've really appreciated having that penalty kick to retain possession.....

EDIT: He was relatively quiet in the first half but Papali'i is absolutely dominating this half. Might need one more steal from him to secure it.....

Oh well. Fortunately there's a final which we should still make, if only because of the squad depth. Would also expect a greater percentage of penalty kicks at goal will be taken in the remaining matches, unless the pack is absolutely flattening the opposition ala the Highlanders.

Yep you right zer0, I still think you should make final. But you have to say, for all the rubbish ruru gets he picked your team up when he came on. Second week in a row that Otere was 2nd best 10, and Akira needs to go back to bench, he not looking that bloody good again. Thought Jacobson for Chiefs went bloody well, as did most of their young tighties I thought. Trask had a good game at 10 and justified his selection. Thought Blues may of been a little of mentally and showed in first half when they had a rolling maul 3 players broke off and looked to be going in and Sam canes just put his head down and stopped them by himself.
After this weekend the question is how do you pick in this comp?

Blues decided to start playing 60 minutes in and Chufs clearly hate Tupaea because they refused to capitalise on his 1000 line breaks. Made Ioane look like a chump.

How good is Dalton though, 4 pilfers?

I think I'm going to be sick. It is 2016 again? Loss Bleus.

Watch who missed the tackle on Jacobson at the end? Ruru - he's supposed to be sweeping in behind the defensive line (and he is) and he just watches Jacobson run right past him without getting a hand on him.

When the Blues had a roll on at one point who threw the ball 2 metres forward from the base of the ruck? Ruru.

It's small margins between winning and losing and continuing to select a guy like Ruru is mind boggling to me.

The bloke is not up to it and continues to get selected.

I completely agree that Robinson should be starting 6. Darry should be starting lock too.

Mate I not a Ruru fan by any means, he was better than Christie on weekend is all I was saying.
But you right, if Papali'i hadn't got shrugged off by DMac Blues would of won!
