Disappointed there's no Darry in that team. Would've had him in there starting for Goodhue. But am pleased they kept the loosies as is.

EDIT: Jesus Christ on a unicycle. Ruru is still there. Gunston Industries needs to get their space program moving so we can fire him into the sun ASAP.

Thought Clan were gunna bust out their haka for a moment there, maybe they'll do one after to recognise ASmith becoming their most-capped player?

Edit: of course they did.........

Fantastic Rieko-ing from Dick Frizzle. Unfortunately that run has probably set him up to start in at least half of the tests this year.

EDIT: Also I'm pretty sure going with your "gut felling" isn't how it works. Surely if the officials don't have a definitive sighting of the grounding then it's an on-field no try? Seems to me the officials just default to on-field try and chuck it to the TMO lottery.

Thought Frizzell played bloody well , he was probably best of the Clan, I know it's not trendy for jafas to give 6s credit, but man he went well!

^ similarly, does JBar's 30 points plus try-saving tackle make him leading candidate for AB 15?

That was a bloody good game by him, and not really the 30 points he scored, or even his tackling, what impressed me was how you could see him controlling the canes backline, he really run it. I didn't think Leger looked like he did anything most of game, but Jordie did it all at 15 and seemingly 10. I gave Rayasi some credit too, he strting to listen about staying involved!

LLLLOLLLL@Crossword Frizzle trying to SLAMDUNK the rugby football into the grass to score a try. Wrong sport, sport.

Rayasi's kicking game has a nice touch/option taking. Galaxies ahead of Jules anyway.

It's like they've accepted Leger ain't a 5/8 & nor is JBar but by playing to their respective strengths they can wing it & sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Still far from ideal but there's not much else they can do, really. Rayasi starting to live up to the hype, JSav will struggle to get back in the 23 I feel.

I hope so - hes never been anything but average for the ABs

Ever heard the one about the ugly duckling? Kid is still younger than most of us probably realise so who knows, maybe he'll have one of those "breakout seasons" footy pundits like to predict/ say they predicted :).

Yep and I think it easy to look average in ABs, there usually a few stars around that you get compared to.

Also I was interested to hear Joe Wheeler talking about Nugget Smith before game saying he often at gym 90minutes before other players working on his game, which confirms my great belief you never get to be the best in your position or anything without the mahi (work). I always remembered and have commented on fact at test match in Brisbane seeing Dan Carter and Richie McCaw out on field 10-15 minutes before rest of team. It is no accident that some players are so bloody good!

The Chufs might've inherited the Blues bad juju, but, given the squads, the Blues forwards really should be flattening them ala the Highlanders. Bad juju or no.

These hamtown bogans hate losing to us big city slicker wankers. I predict they will bring the tetchy grumpiness.

Oh fuck me it's anti-Auckland campaigner TJ in the booth FFS

Both sides stuck in 2nd gear with innumerable stuff-ups.

FFS Bleus midfield making Tupeau look like the second coming of Toeava.

ps funny how the comms NEVER mention any of DMacs constant fuckups

Jesus we still have Ruru lurking on the bench. Either this half needs to be a massacre or, ideally, the Little Ginger players the full match.

FFS what an utter, utter shitshow.

Tell you what as a neutral, I would be having DMac over any Blues back in first half. Blues pack must get on top, but up until now I been a bit surprised that the kids in Chiefs tight 5 going pretty well.
