NZ Domestic Rugby 2021

Dismal Pillock

Holy shit, how did 'canes throw that lead away? That's a Warriors-like meltdown.

I watched the whole thing but still couldnt tell you how they lost that. WFT happened? 26-7 up at HT? JBars midfield hail mary penalty the Canes only 2nd half points? Just zero leadership out there.

I think even Dan54's probably still processing that one...... As soon as he wakes up from his South Taranaki grandpa nap I'm sure he'll have it all nice & neatly analysed for the rest of us slobs

Mate it was kind of what what I expected, I thought the Canes went well until half, and between them switching off a bit, and DMac moving to 10 and taking control of game it was game over. Don't know if they just wore themslv es out or what, but something happened in second half. Lumpy looked crocked at about 60 minute mark, and our tighties sure run out of steam.
DMac I thought was bloody good at both 15 and 10, thought Chiefs loosies were prtty effective too, not flashy Cane and Jacobson never are they just did job bloody well! Rayasi looked good in first half but ddn't put himself up as an option in second. Kirifi I thought didn't leave much out ther, he deserved to get subbed his workrate was bloody good.

Yep Canes are pretty well stuffed now, no 9 or 10 for the season! That's too bloody hard to overcome.

Ofa's YC stands but he's avoided any further sanction:

Seems to represent a softening of the "zero tolerance" policy wrt contact with head.

World Rugby released a new framework earlier this month (effective immediately) regarding head contact that allows for more common sense.

Chiefs just can't live with that tight 5! Kind of glad they giving trask another go, I would save Gatland for maybe a winnable match?
