No referees appointed for this weekend by NSWRRA for these games.
It that for the SJRU v Japan games??

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the SJRU under 16 competiton play on Sundays? Given that finals are just around the corner some teams are certainly going to be missing their stars!
If I am correct would the SJRU not have organised for the games to be played on a Saturday rather than Sunday? I would envisage a few coaches being a little bit irate over such a decision!

They can't do Saturday as they wouldn't have any players due to school commitments... The clubs, however, don't matter... Read into that what you will

The NSW Under 16 side is a side governed by the NSW Junior Rugby Union. To participate in the NSWJRU pathway you must be registered and playing with a club that is affiliated with either Sydney Junior Rugby Union or NSW Country Junior Rugby Union.Schools offer alternate pathways for aspiring rugby players. Their pathway is not covered by the NSW JRU pathway.
The last part of this quote really disturbs me, "Their pathway is not covered by the NSW JRU pathway". I've tried to find it on the NSWJ's site but can't. Is it your quote Iluvmyfooty ? Here's why I find it disturbing. I'll use Adrian Delore as an example. He is registered and plays with his club team (Maquarie beaches) and was selected to play for NSW Country. Like all the other boys, he also plays Rugby at school and was selected to play for CHS. After his performance at the Schools championships, he was also selected in the NSW Schools team. Representatives of the 3 associations ( Schools, Country and Juniors) got together and decided who he would play for, in his case he was told it will be Schools.
I like to think that there is no one who is in a position of authority at NSWJ that would think it's ok that Adrian (and others) is denied an oppertunity to represent NSW on the basis of which representative team he's been told to play with. If there is, I think it's a disgrace and those people in positions of authority should have a good hard look at what motivates them to be in that position.

the quote is taken from the NSW Juniors pathway document at page 2 paragraph 2 (or 3).
is the under 16 NSW side a new rep side this year. There was none two years ago and I don't think there was one last year. Obviously there are some selection problems to work out if your scenario comes to pass. The only other instance I can remember was 2 years ago when Rhys Dombkins was taken from the u16 Country side to play in the NSW schools side. However there was no state side that year so there was no problem. Going on past history and the uneasy association the clubs have with the Schools I have little hope that players that are eligible due to club registration but do not play for Sydney or Country in the City/Country game will be selected
Thanks for the feedback Iluvmyfooty. This is the first 16's NSW team for 10 years so I guess they will have a few problems to sort out. Rhys was a slightly different situation 2 years ago as he played at the Country championships in Nowra that year but made himself unavailable for country selection. He was never selected to play for country that year.

Does anyone know of the likely movements of any of the boys named above? Or perhaps hazzard a guess? Or any I have missed?
Have it on very good authority that M Morgan will go to league - will fulfill school rugby obligations till he does the HSC, but after that farewell. Same source advised he has only turned out for club 2 maybe 3 times this season due to school & Canterbury League obligations. This explains his surprising "no show" at state &/or regionals. Also, apparently (for what its worth) his mum works at Canterbury leagues.
Any results from the weekend?
