Coogee won, didn't catch the score and Merrylands won 36 to 14 against Hawkesbury. It was a tighter game than perhaps the score suggested. Good game to watch, a great atmosphere and all the boys contributed to a really solid game. Lots of turn over at the ruck was the one strange thing that I noticed. Haweksbury had 3 or 4 injuries, not sure if they have anything to do with the Sydney team, definitely not from schools. No injuries from any of the rep boys from Merrylands. Seems like there is some feeling between Merrylands and Hawkesbury!! It was nice to see them come together at the end of the game and leave it all on the pitch.
