Parramatta ramped it up 3 notches today and clinically put away Wests 45-nil and then dissected Norths 27-nil this afternoon.Gordon will need to improve alot on their performance if they want to even get close tomorrow.

If Gordon are able/allowed to play an up tempo game,I reckon they'll win. Parra's vulnerable out wide,Gordon's strength is out wide. Forwards battle will be interesting, both packs will be wanting/instructed to play 2 very different styles. Gordon by 5.

Dingdong, you obviously didn't see any of the games today, I find your vulnerable out wide comment a little naive considering Parramatta have 2 of last years NSW wingers in the side who today played brilliantly.

So Tepais defence is in question then against Kellaway. Good luck to them both !

Parra were very very good today. Hats off to them. Will be a massive shock if Gordon can put one over them. In the semi, Norths were competitive, particularly in the first half, however Parra clearly had too much for them in the long run.

Ok Dingdong, now it's time for you to stop being selfish and pass some of that stuff your smokin' to the rest of us in the room; why should you have all the fun!!

If Kellaway goes down the left flank he will run into Jake Roberts so there goes that plan. Lets go right instead; no good here either as he will run into a great defender in Jimmy Ah Cheung. That leaves Kellaway going through the middle, and there he will meet either Moeroa or Winterstein (and believe me Trent is the better defender).

Perhaps the young lad still has the superman suit his parents bought him for Christmas when he was 8. If so he might want to try and fit back into it (even for the placebo affect).

Regards,
Newbie

This is not League Newbie, no left side or right side, just one big paddock. Kellaway and others should attack (and probably will ) where I see a weak link. I'm not going to shi1@can a 15/16 year old and tell you where that is. I guess we'll all see today.

"One big paddock". Are you trying to suggest that rugby has no structure in comparison to league and that players run around willy nilly and take up whatever position on the field they like? I do not understand the distinction you are trying to make?

With respect to the wink link you discuss, I know who are you referring to, however lets just say that his coach is more than aware of his deficiency (just as his league coach was aware). If you ever catch him by himself without one of the wingers coming across in support I will be very surprised!

Regards,
Newbie.

Hey Dingaling, seriously. Did you happen to catch the Eastwood centre run around Kellaway at the start of that early game on Saturday. Maybe thats the weak link. Andrew has always dominated against Div 2 sides.

And do all Parra supporters a favour. Lose the Parra badge!

What's the matter with Parra ???? Seriously, I have no emotional ties with either team, just calling it how I see it. No I didn't see the Eastwood/Gordan game, all I know is SC aren't won on Saturday mornings and the physicalitity differential between Parra team and the others is closing. In my view Parra are a very good team full of some very talented boys but so are Gordon. I know you'll all be keen to discuss the result with me tonight but I'm away till Wednesday, Good luck to both teams, and may the best team win.

Kellaway doesn't go missing in any rugby match, this is the first final Gordon has been in for 8 years, he has been part of every single team win/loss with gordon. He will fire up today (pun intended) and will have a running combonation with Redden and you'll find parra wingers turning their heads around and chasing the ball and some boys going through. Will be a bloody tough game, parra will put plenty of points on Gordon if they dont step up and in my eyes, i think Gordon will step up and give parra a run, won't be surprised to see 14 all Draw!!

No Newbie, I'm not suggesting rugby has no structure. What I am saying is the best players do "run around", ( not willy nilly) "and take up whatever position on the field they like" Gifted players in either code see the distinction, Benji for one.

I expect Gordon to be very competitive early but in the end Parra will have too much class all over the paddock. Gordon's forwards play a very aggressive and physical game, plenty of talk and geeing up but to be honest have a few too many "hot heads" and will concede plenty of penalties as they did in their first round game against Eastwood. Parra's pack will more than accomodate them and the Gordon forwards will get sick of the sight of Afele, Maa and Taiki running at and over them. Parra's bench is also loaded with equally good forwards so Parra's go forward and momentum up front won't diminish when changes are made.

Gordon's attitude in attack seems to be just get it wide to Kellaway at outside centre as quickly as possible so that he can hopefully weave some magic. Their inside backs do little more than catching and passing although they will often run a back rower, notably Welch, off their no 10 like a "crash" inside centre in the hope of disrupting the oppositions inside backs to give Kellaway and Docker outside him more time and space.

Kellaway is a very gifted player... a superbly balanced runner with a great fend who does things in attack that others can't because they lack the reaction speed and physical capabilities needed to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, particularly when opposing backs spill the ball. He is at his most dangerous when attacking down the left side using his strong right arm fend to great advantage and will often link with their no 15 running a line inside him at an opposite angle to any opposition cover defence. But it is a folly in any team sport to place too much reliance on one player. Parra have two very creative backs in Angeloni and Clark who make so many opportunites for others and can do some quite amazing things in attack themselves. Parra also have Tepai and if he fires will create havoc. In the games I saw on the weekend he was playing inside centre... much prefer him at outside running at Kellaway in attack. Parra also more than equal if not surpass Gordon for speed out wide.

Parra champions again imo.

Agreed, my tip is parra up by 1-2 tries. Too much in the forwards and too much class out wide....

To all the critics out there. Kellaway turned up today, just as i said. 1 try 3 penalty goals. He won the game with his kicking and running, making a penalty shot from 40m out 2 minutes after the final bell, not to mention a try saving tackle on a break away wingers run.
Redden to scored a great try, Gordon 19 - Parramatta 17.

Yep Kellaway showed up no denying and Parra just didn't do enough in the first half - but man, you have to feel for the Parra boys - referee ignored central timer to play extra time; during which Kellway slotted the final /winning penalty.

Would have been interesting to hear what Dick Byres & other referee heavyweights had to say about that. Shame is a good game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons & an otherwise handy performance from the referee will be recalled for one very brave decision.
