Had a pre-season with the main squad earlier in the year. Pretty sure that he joins the top 30 or development first year out of school. Exciting young player that hopefully recovers well from his injury so we can see him back in action during the GPS season!

The Mauling Monster

Gentlemen of the Forum,

The mauling monster is back after a very long break. The nip of winter air grazed my lips this morning and made me keen for footy, what better place to start. I've seen some Joeys boys messing around and as the kids say nowadays 'glazing' eduardo Garciaaaasss and flynn Hanigan. Heard Jules minotaur is also a great chance for Firsts on the wing. New recruit Benjamin Burrito is also a great watch. These are all Year 10s of course, (my expertise) and if they don't play firsts Im sure the 2s will be happy to have them. Any thoughts on Year 11s and 12s that might edge out these boys, don't really have a clue.

Who are the boys who could also potentially be in this team

Good morrow gentlemen of this fourm, i would like to introduce myself by giving you lot a riddle to figure out.....ironic isnt it !

In a game where skill and style collide,
With golden locks that flow with pride.
Though down on the score, he stands tall,
Puffing his hair, he gives it his all.

What am I, who plays with flair,
With a heart so big and a golden hair?
In the under 15s, I aim to impress,
Didnt play CIS can you guess?

Oooo let me guess Finn Hannon?

Welcome back TMM. I think we are all so keen for this year GPS season as it will be excillerating and extremely competitive. I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'glazing' but Gracias and Hanigan are in for a cracker of a season. I'm not sure about Minotaur though, seemed to have a pretty average season last year but who knows? In other news, New boy Burrito will be a handfull for the other schools as he is a dominant front rower who is always keen for a meat pie. The Joeys year 10 age group is stacked and I can't wait to see if they can jelq out another competition win!

I completely agree with what you TPPG22 however Riverview did win the U15 comp last year.
But how gracias and hanigan (bit weird how he took up that name we all know why‍♀️♂️) have been good for that year group and i do also think your right that riverview year 10 cohort is also very good beating that team lead by hanigan even with 4 people out with injurys and trouble.
With the riverview boys led by Charlie Briggs who could make a push for the firsts team at 2 if he comes into preseason game fit, with his exceptional scrum work and speedy line out throws down right dominating St Josephs 15As last year.

RO out.

Its funny you say that because you'd think that just Riverview faced setbacks. Hanigan's Joeys side faced injuries throughout the season even their captain Jermaine Beale. Ultimately, injuries and setbacks are apart of the game that every team goes through so it's no better that one team can beat another even with '4 people out' because you don't know what setbacks the losing team had aswell. What I'm trying to point out is that although the Riverview year 10 age group can compete, you are no better than anyone for saying that 'even beat you with 4 injuries'. I hope all the youngins on the forum have learnt a lesson.

although i do agree the joeys boys just did not turn up that MUDDY day from what i observed watching the St Jospehs boys were outclassed by the Saint Iggys lads.

Hi boys, seems like the hot topic of this year's forum so far is the fresh Yr 10 crop coming through, but all I seem to hear about is the St Joeseph boys. If I am wrong please correct me but, they did not win the age group premiership (not discounting the likes of the Joseph boys as obviously there is some raw talent there). I respect the individual talent there by the boys in Cerise (pink ;)) but I am left perplexed as to why boys from other schools in yr 10 are not given more looks. If I am right the Riverview boys won that yr and would have to have some talent worth giving a chat on the forum or even the likes of Kings and Newington who have respectable sides in the U16s and Gen Blue pathway talent, who I am sure is in the loop of the opens programs of their respected schools.

So if anyone has any info on any other Yr 10s from other schools like Riverview, Newington, Kings or even Shore it would be appreciated to share that knowledge...

Great Idea OG, I was simply hopping on the bandwagon with my return there. I would definitely like to hear about other schools, I heard lot's of kings boys are going up to opens as well as Henry Braxby at Shore potentially playing 1s. Have heard surprisingly little about View considering their success. What I did find was that their captain Thomas Simons and hooker Charles Brick were the only ones to make the 'Gen Blue colours' while Joeys had around 11-12. Classic rugby politics perhaps. If anyone had a predicted view 16s lineup that would be great, I know there are few view boys being 'trolls' in this forum but maybe one of you could help out. I also know very little about Newington 16s apart from the fact that they had a disappointing season last year.

Well to my likings I would have to agree with you here. Jagger short or should I say Riverview scholar, is clearly stating his opinions on how good the Riverview team is or HIS team. Them winning has clearly got them pumped up, and a sense of arrogance is creeping. It will be intriguing, yet so exciting to see these teams play against each other again, and can hopefully shut this persons mouth up, quietly.
