I totally agree, Greg Macken has proven time and time again that he is capable of coaching such a team and I believe he will go on to do great things for the school. Also as a teacher, he provides knowledge and further companionship with those who he coaches which will ultimately increase their performance week in and week out. As the GPS season awaits, I'm am jumping out of my boots hearing edging news about not just the 1st comp but all competitions!

Well well well...

Rumour has it glazer has rose from the dead on the 3rd day,

Can see all the kids are back at school still spamming the forum but it's all fun and games if it's just teamlists. Just a quick one on a serious note, any early predictions for the ladder and for the GPS combined team. I heard from my old highschool friend (selector), he said the team had already been chosen, rugby politics at it again. Apparently Doozy weir is set to make his appearance alongside Toby Robinson but I cannot disclose any more infromation asmy hands are tied and lips are sealed.

EARLY SEASON PREDICTION:
I feel as if Shore and Scots have already picked up some bad luck in their summer sports and I believe it will carry throughout the whole season. A couple of arrogant acts (send-offs) which were reported to the GPS staff could actually see the boys miss some of their training such as Tom Fuzes. Furthermore, I do think a couple of boys from underdog schools will have their revenge this year such as Buddy Latham (N), and also Angus Teseiro (R) as they rip into their co-curriculars (Debating and Chess club).

Glazer out.

Nice sides @MaulMasterMind

A lot of names back for Joeys and View. View will hope getting a chunk of forwards back will be a difference maker. Both Props were strong last year I thought so with more development I hope personally they can get the upper hand on some of the others.

Pretty sure Ash Thomas was playing 13 last year in 2s and got a few runs in the 1st 15, not sure they would move him into the pigs.

Wow! just wow. I could not agree more with these lists, especially the St josephs predicted 1st XV team. I would just like to acknowledge the no.10, Finn Hannon who has shown his amazing abilities throughout 2024. He could not deserve that spot anymore.

Agree? any Alternatives?

Look here mate clearly you have a crush on flynn Hanigan and weather he has practised balls skills all off season he just doesn't cut the cake to be playing at 9. He is the clear pick for 10 and will play 16B's this year, my only concern is that he is carrying a bit of a gut from a big break over summer and will need to get on the treadmill ASAP if he wants a chance to wear the jersey is a small size. Best of luck to flynn Hanigan I will be watching from the sideline eagerly to see if he fits into that size small jersey.

1892 to 1917 or as Grammar calls them, "the glory years". They would have won 90% of their rugby and cricket premierships in that period.

I note from a post from May 2024 that since 1904 only two cohorts didn't see either a 1st or 2nds premiership. They were 1914 and 1917.

Changing the subject, here's a discussion that happens each season.
The best GPS RUGBY Rivalries:

-
Joeys vs Riverview: very well-known, massive history, religious, close to each other, etc
- Scots vs Joeys: big history of scots determined to knock joeys off the top, and were the rare school to actually be able to. When Joeys get on a winning streak of 3 or more Scots have stopped it 4 out of the 5 times. Always create big crowds and Joeys love the battles.

I don't really know how good the other ones are. And I'm NOT saying High vs Grammar because there is 0 competition and no one actually gets around the games and fires up for them like the other rivalries.

What are some others?
