Newington have a very talented player list and whilst Heamasi would be fantastic to watch, and I hope we get to see him, the player list under the guidance of the new director of rugby should be more than capable of competing.

For context, when did Grammar last produce a Wallaby captain or even a Wallaby cap? Also, when did they last produce an Olympic rising medalist?
From what i can see on google, 2030 it will be the 100 year anniversary of the birth of the most recent Grammar Wallaby Captain or Test cricketer.

Also, any word on "cricket school" Kings doing anything on 11 April to celebrate 170 years since the birth of their only Test player, Hugh Massie.

Was taking the dog for a walk through Centennial Park yesterday and there was a fairly large group of boys training wearing Waratahs kit. Anyone know which group it may have been. Looked like there was a fair bit of size difference between the lads.

Does anyone have any updates out of Scots in terms of coaching setup? If there are any? The reason I ask is that last year, being a Shore supporter and knowing my alma mater was going to be competitive, I had Scots circled in red as the team to beat, as many others did as well. As we saw, Scots were nowhere near as competitive as we had expected despite having a star-studded squad. It seemed they weren't able to play as a team and that perhaps their coaching setup wasn't doing much to remedy the issue.

Just wondering if there could possibly be some changes this season?

Hope everyone's having a great new year.

Question for the group...

Who are the most underrated/unknown (probable) returning players to 1st IV from each team for the season ahead

I think that they would have the same front row as last year (didn't know about the Tahs thing though, but I think their last years hooker was in the u16 Aus side as well). Fonua I suspect would be in there at 8 if he hasn't finished school.

Good Points. So if Bloomfield stays at #3 then maybe:-

1. Hayden Lavercombe
2. Oliver Smith
3. Hasani Bloomfield
4. Rhys Perrett
5.
6.
7. Connor Durbridge
8. Isaac Fonua
9.
10. Talen Risatti (or #15)
11.
12.
13.
14.
15.

16. Hamish Matthews. I think he may find a way into the starting squad

On the contrast Hasani Bloomfield ball skills have improved as well as in his tackling i believe he has the ticker to make a real impact on the kings starting line up. I just can't see Oliver Smith having the ticker required to take the field over Hasani Bloomfield
