Sorry for this off-topic question, but I remember a conversation on this forum about the level and quality of schoolboy chants. I am from the QLD GPS and looking for some new chants to add to our locker. Would appreciate it if any of you would be able to let me know some cool things schools in the NSW GPS do and the war cries they chant for the First XV.
Yell your school’s name loud and sharp over and over again. works well.

Whats happened to Sub Tuum?
That is a song of celebration (in fact is a Latin hymn to Our Lady). The hymn enumerates her special election by God the Father and her motherhood of God the Son. It is one of the oldest known Marian prayers and among the most ancient preserved hymns still currently in use.
Joeys being a Marist school, this hymn is our number one.

We fly to thy protection, O Holy Mother of God; Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin

Joeys pull this out when they win a premiership or pull off an unlikely victory. The loudest I have heard was when Joeys beat Scots in 1994 and 2018 when Joeys in the last play of the match won the game.
