That Phoenix Graham is well deserved of his GPS 1s squad. Congratulations to all the boys selected. A few unlucky to not be selected in the 1XV such as Johannes Logan.
Not surprised. Both coaches are Shore 1XV coaches.Congratulations to Marshall Le Maitre who becomes the first AAGPS First XV Captain from The Shore School since David Mason-Jones (who coincedentally is know MIC of Rugby at Shore) who achieved the feat in 1992.
The 2nd XV team should make light work of the CAS team.Warner, Logan, Fonua….extraordinary.
here we go... As an old boy of St. Ignatius College, even I can admit that Le Maitre is a great option for captain. It was always, in my eyes, between himself, Greer and Brial. Try not to water down the achievements of schoolboys just because a selection has hurt your own schools ego.Not surprised. Both coaches are Shore 1XV coaches.
How do the coaches for the team get decided each year?
If Issac isn’t participating due to injury why are you having a crack at selectors ?Issac fonoua won’t be participating in GPS side from what I’ve been told due to injury.
quite amazing really how the Gen blue starting 18s lock who’s school season has depended on him was left out…. Guess it shows the seriousness of GPS selections and how off the mark they may be.
presidents XV is an under 16s side. Can someone explain what all the teams are? I get gps 1 and 2. What is presidents and blue and white etc?
JokerAny other games on? GPS Blue/White play as well I recall.
I’ve always respected St ingnatius ability to respect the achievements of others. True character. Well done, others should follow.here we go... Blue and white is basically a gps 3rds and 4ths so most kids can get into a rep teamCan someone explain what all the teams are? I get gps 1 and 2. What is presidents and blue and white etc?
Tell him he's dreamin'.Good win for Joeys. However, they were extremely slack towards the end. Joeys are very lucky that there aren't 90 minute games otherwise I think there would be a different winner.
Kings forwards over worked all season. Their back line? No comment. I don't want to get banned. I cannot banter respectfully about TKS backline performance today. Those forwards CARRY the team. And no I am not related to Lavercombe.Well played by Scots today, deserved winners. Kings started at a million miles an hour and looked great with an early try. From there the game evened out with Kings probably shading the first half while going to oranges at 7-10.
Whatever cool aid the Scots boys had at HT did the trick. Kings forwards have been fantastic all season and not outpointed. Not so today. Scots forwards dominated the second half and only the resolute Kings defence kept them out.
Mackenzie got two length of the field tries in each half to be the difference. Scots backs still not on song but easily on top of their counterparts who found edge defence challenges similar to New and little penetration.
Joeys now have a two game lead on the field with four to go so they have one hand on the premiership.
A much improved performance from Scots today but in a very even comp don’t see either of these teams challenging for the top spot but still capable of getting more wins before season end.
Yep it should just be GPS 1st and 2nd XV with some reservesWell played by Scots today, deserved winners. Kings started at a million miles an hour and looked great with an early try. From there the game evened out with Kings probably shading the first half while going to oranges at 7-10.

Thxpresidents XV is an under 16s side.
Grammar have 2 players selected so technically its 4 teams from 7 schools but I get your point. Out of interest, did TAS ever feature back in the day?Ignore if already raised but can’t help feeling GPS selection is being slightly diluted by 4 teams being selected from 6 schools. “Back in the day” there were three teams from 8 schools and that ratio seemed about right. It’s almost more embarrassing now if you’re a 1st XV player and don’t make a team…
