2 quick tries to Joeys from the start. 2 yellow cards against Joeys (tip tackle and team repeated infringements) brought Grammar back into the game

Should have been at least 3 yellow cards: I cannot believe that the SJC coaches would not have taken the approach that all others have taken of eliminating any lift in any tackle. They need to address it as it was an across the board issue with SJC 3s.

The law is very strict so its a straight yellow or possibly red if he lands on his head directly.

Agreed Steven, such a great player, hopefully he can turn around from this past match and move on and play his game. On another note, what's the match to watch this weekend?

IMO I think he should miss out on the next couple of games. His history with this kind of behaviour should not go unnoticed, I also think it's something that the GPS and NSW selectors should take into account when selecting there team.

I think the game to watch this weekend would be Joeys at View. Both teams coming off good wins, this game will hopefully make it all a bit clearer as to who is the team to look out for this year.

I'm going to say Joeys by 6.

On another note, what's the match to watch this weekend?

1ST & 2ND XV – GPS Trial – I v J, N v K, S v E
3RD XV – GPS Competition – Round 2 – H v I, J v K, G v E, S v TAS

I think Newington V Kings would be very interesting and a close match. But the traditional rivalry between Riverview and Joeys could make for a very big crowd and an entertaining spectacle.

Which team is favoured in matches will depend. Given it is the last trial before the competition starts, I suspect a number of marginally fit players will be rested from all teams.

However this may be the last chance for a number of players to impress selectors before the GPS teams are announced following Round 1.

My tips (subject to fitness)

Joeys building nicely into round 1
Newington (stinging after last weekends result)
Scots (suspect they stand down a player for his red card last week but he returns for Rnd 1.....)
