I would love to see the possession stat's and time in our own half stat's. I haven't seen a team more dominated for 40 minutes in my life. Even Samoa or Fiji against the AB's would have managed to get near their oppositions 22 at some stage in the half.

I may have to put some money on Italy as an emotional hedge if im going to stomach watching the game this Saturday.

Worst performance from the WB's I have ever seen. Credit to munster for a dominating effort.

I would be happier seeing the rest of the tour cancelled.

Moz, Hynes and Daly are part of the homeward bound group after this schemozzle.
After being an advocate for allowing hime to do his job, it now is clear that Dearns is so far out of his depth he is now guessing and our Wallabies are going backwards really fast.
As I said before on another thread, our wins against the AB's and bokkes this wear were against the run of performance.
We have not shown any real game ascendancy and until we expect to win games on a par with NZ we are nothings.
At this rate we may not even make the WC semis.

And check out those conditions tonight, we just couldnt deal with it. How we going to deal with a campaign in NZ???

I only heard the game on Radio - reminds me of the 60's and radiograms- did I hear right that TPN kept throwing to the back of line-out (4 or 5) in a howling gale

munsterhouse - it's not disrespect for Muster, it's disrespect for AUstralia. The conditions were appalling and the cnuts just gave up.

Lang, you missed a couple: (1) no counter rucking, just one-out attempts to pinch the ball (2) backs, esp Barnes, standing still unstead of running onto it. I mean, I learned that one in primary school.

This game is probably worse than the effort against England on the weekend.
There were some things happening in the game that never should have happened and the fact that they were comitted by 'professionals' makes it even more mind boggling.

When it's blowing a gale - you should:
1) not throw beyond #2 in the lineout because the probability of it not going straight is high.
2) When there is a bomb you should at least attempt to catch it, instead of looking at the other guy nearest to you and hoping that he'll get it for you, instead of it bouncing back over your head or into the arms of the opposition.
3) Stand closer together in the backline because wind can sometimes affect your passing and lead to knock ons - which we had about 10 of tonight.

Munster were always going to win when it was 6-6 at half time and they had the wind in the 2nd half. We played poorly in most aspects of the game and didn't adjust to the conditions. Everyone knows to expect a wet track in the NH at this time of year and the backup game plan wasn't used (do we even have one?)

The one good thing I can pick out of the wreck was the scrum. We managed to get a tighthead and even smashed their scrum when on our own 5m line.

I'm not sure what Bryce Lawrence was smoking before the game but some of his decisions were strange in the least and it was good to see he didn't exceed his own standards... I think his call for a new whistle because the pea was broken sums it up!

Mark Ella was with the Wallabies before the tour. Here's what Genia said:

"It's very special to have a player of his stature and ability to come and help the boys out," halfback Will Genia said.

"Even little drills he showed us had a real impact and effect on the boys - we just got better throughout the session.

"You have to make sure the first receiver is putting pace on the ball rather than being static. That is the one thing that I think made a massive difference from when he first saw us.
"After he gave us those tips we started to look really sharp."

You must have gone to a better primary school than Will :)

I would hardly say that was a major plus given the front row Munster had. No Marcus, hayes, buckley, flannery and borlase only off the plane (+ looks like he couldnt push drugs - needs to pick up his socks if that performance was anything to go by)

You also needs the backs to chase and chase, a decent chase can covert a shitty kick into pressure, but our wings and centres failed to chase hard most of the night.

It's hard to polish a turd, and that's the best I had...if I had to mention something positive.

Does it really never rain in OZ. (obviously I've never been) surely some rugby must be played in conditions as bad as tonight. the lack of any hunger in the wallibies play cant just be down to wanting to get in doors, I could never believe that of professional players playing for their country no matter what the conditions or opposition.

ive seen some terrible rugby from the boys in green (I shudder to think of the last world cup) but it usually can be explained by bad management or bad preperation (in the case of the world cup both!)

Read somewhere that they've won 4 straight against us, so their becoming use to it I'd say!

RTE did a short on the 92 match with Mick Galwey and "the claw" - sound like it was a really dirty one. I wish there had more fight tonight.
